Definitely lay off the crack As for counseling....alot of us need it  You could cut the flanges off the XT6 Y-pipe and have a custom cross over made, just use a EA82T for a template.

Instrument panel removal question
Turbone replied to slosube's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Pull the top and bottom heater control buttons off and there are screws at each. On the left side, I will have to go out and look and repost. Ok, the right one is under the bottom of the surround. But there are clips where the air outlet is on the left side. Maybe once you get the right side free the left will come loose. -
Have you posted this over at XT6.com yet?

Hey Will, can you do me a favor? Take a pic of the Opel GT2 at the Amarang museum near Chimsee in Germany near Austria. I've been wanting more pics of that for years.

Yea, I was just kidding. I wasnt aware that parts for imports were more than Harley, I tought they had the highest priced stuff around. A set of mufflers cost $300 -

Ok, thats cool. Just dont expect anything coming from Japan to sound like a Harley. Its already been tried -
Glad to hear that, on both counts. When you get the T-Coupe you will need to bleed the brakes again.

I got a 87 GL for $10.00
Turbone replied to 1979BratOwner's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Hopefully the person who abandoned it wont come back and try and claim it, especially now all the repairs are done I got a 85 4WD 5spd D/R wagon last year for $10. And drove it home, then sold it later for $300. -
The pics make it hard to tell where the leak is coming from. I would clean the area, then look for where its coming from. Then you can go about fixing it because then you will know whether you need a seal, a sealer, a o-ring or a gasket.

Sometimes 2 heads are better than one, eh?

The one I was refering to was your friend(?) at WWU (I think it was from there, the one that had the Turbo Hatch). I thought he had some connections in Japan.

If it smells like something died in there, then most likely something did. You will need to take the ducting apart and drop the squirrel cage out of the housing to find the deceased varmit. Then clean liberaly with the strongest disenfectant you can find. You may still have to use air freshners for a while. Winter is coming, you dont want to gag everytime you turn the heater on

Is the car a one off or concept? Could your buddy from the U get you some info on it?

Sure, anything but Fram. Purolator is a good brand, not sure if they make FF. But if you want peice of mind, go OEM.

EA82 Auto Tranny help needed
Turbone replied to torxxx's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Yes, I've learned the "hard way". You will need to have patience when mating the tranny up to the engine. Spinning the TC will help line it up and when thats done you can tighten up the bolts thru the hole where the starter goes. -

EA82 Auto Tranny help needed
Turbone replied to torxxx's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
If you put it on the block first you run the risk of screwing up the pump. You need to put the TC on the tranny and turn it till it locks in on the shaft. Thats the only way to do it, sorry. -
ausubaru.com photo competition

Like this.... Look above the window you are typing your message in. You will see the globe and a chain link. You will need to have your pic hosted at our Picture Gallery, or else your own. When you first click on it, it will ask for the text message. This is just what you want to call the pic. Once you hit enter it will come up with antoher window for the link. If your link alread has the HTTP in front, just delete the one in the window. Hit enter, after you make your link of course, and then you can preview the post. This way you can tell if it works or not. Or if its not big, you can use the other way by posting a image. 82 GLF 2WD 5spd with Weber = Fast -
