Hey Eli, I'm at work, but will be off at 9. I rode my moped to work so I won't be home til about 9:40. Do you think it'll be easy to do? Larry seemed to think it would be, but I'm sure he would like some help.

We have been trying to figure out what to do with the parts Brat I have after it's done being stripped. the body is not in good shape (especially from doors forward), but it's not rusted. the other day I was telling my husband that I wanted a little trailer that I could use for my Brat. He decided to use the parts Brat to make one. He is going to cut off the bed then weld sheet metal on the front to enclose it. He has to see what needs to be done with the axle. Does anyone have any recommendations or tips? Thanks.

Ok, I got thenut, plug, bolt on the top, and the long one on the bottom. It moved freely side to side, but I can't pull it off. Am I missing something else or are they just on pretty tight? Thanks for you help and encouragement

I need to replace the alternator in the '88 RX and just want to know if it is easy enought for me to do or if I should have someone else do it. The one on the Brat was very simple, but the RX is more cramped. Is there anything I should know or watch out for?

87" GL wagon ignition trouble
YellowSub replied to BGB420's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
My Brat did the exact same thing. It ended up that the voltage regulator was overcharging and completely killed the battery and messed up the alternator. Died in the middle of the intersection. Had to replace all three. Luckily the battery was still warranteed and free. -
There was a kind of grumbling or grinding noise coming from the rear. I thought (hoped) it was the brakes and replaced, but noise is still there. Doesn't seem to get louder as I accelerate like differentials usually do. Is here a driveshaft U-joint? Any ideas?

As most of you probably know, the RX was in bad need of a clutch. I found one in town and Eli put it in. It was hard, dirty work especially in 110 degree weather (I will post some pictures as soon as i get home tonight). Anyway, it is now running great and shifting like butter. It passed emissions with no problems. Now tomorrow it's off to DMV to register. I just wanted to say... THANK YOU ELI!! and also, Thank you Jess for letting Eli come over to fix the car. i really appreciate both of your help.

wow, too much. $14.99 plus $12.66 shipping (seems like a lot to ground ship a headlight) and I would still have the get the turn signal. Don't go out of your way, but if you do go there that would be great.

Does anyonw know if this... SUBARU LOYALE LEFT HEADLIGHT HEADLAMP 1987-1994 will fit an '88 RX

Awesome car & cool tent!! I would love to see it fully up. You scored big time. What brat page?

That is a sad, sad picture. Hey Eli, I know where there is a gen 2 Brat. He says it runs, but I haven't had a close look. I know jump seats are there and t-tops. Wants $500, but maybe he could be talked down.

So I'm talking to my husband and he says "Did I tell you about the other Subaru at the auction?" I say no. He says "It was an 80 something hatchback. It might have been 4WD." "How much did it go for?", says I. His answer..."Oh no one bid on it. I could have gotten it for almost nothing. It went to the crusher" CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? I would've so wanted it to play with.

I have been told that I need a new ignition switch. Not the cylinder part, but the electrical part behind it. Anyone have one for sale? It's a '78 Brat. Thanks
