  1. ea82's are no less reliable then any other subaru engine but they have timing belts unlike the ea71. this just means they are a little more expensive to maintain and they do have an affinity for killing head gaskets evrey 150,000 miles, but that's about it as far as differances go
  2. don't listen to them, the real problem with the ea82 is the headlight fluid resivore it's much to small for a car of this size combined with the size of the headlights and alternator it is clearly not able to to supply blinker fluid at an appropriat rate you need to use synthetic blinker fluid and upgrade the resivore and pump that should give you a substancial power boost

  8. ya don't use it in gear boxes but the 4.3 in my s-10 loves the stuff +2 mpg and it feels allot peppier
  9. lucas is good stuff i use it in my s-10, 195000 miles and it doesn't burn any oil, doesn't leak any eather
  10. i would replace the maf to start with, they are very sensitive, i'd go to a parts store and get some maf and electronics cleaner and re clean whjat ever you cleaned yesterday, replace the thing you broke the wire on and see if you have any differance

  14. you should be fine but i strongly reccomend the redline,cost me $9 a quart, go to a speed shop usually it's all they sell and it's cheaper than valvoline$10-$20 a quart!!
