Removal of A/C, belt question.
jeffast replied to Ever Victorious's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
you can remove the compressor, condensor, and the hoses you will save about 40 or so lbs by doing so. the condenser is mounted to the radiator it is easy to remove the two bolts in plain site hold it on. unfortunatly it has to come out the back so you have to pull the radiator give me a second i'll post the good year number for the belt i'm using EDIT: to dark outside i'll post the number tommorow because i'm lazy -
i might have to go to wcss8 if that car does
-
the windsheild is all i need now:banana: well that and new hinges for the hood but i'm going back for those tommorow
-
ow so are we going to see your hatch at the up coming meet?
-
you jinxed me, when i joined awdpirates. don't worry the only variable is the hood and windsheild and i already have a hood on the car and the wind sheild won't stop me from making the meet with the death wedge

there's somthing you don't see every day

my hood flew open while iwas driving down the freeway the death wedge and i are alright but the impact destroyed the hood and windsheild on the death wedge so i'm looking for a dual mount xt turbo hood or an xt-6 hood and of course a windsheild color is not a factor

jeffast replied to offroadsubaruguy's topic in Subaru Transplants
now you've got me thinking and that is very bad for my check book -
the reason for the tire under the hood is that incase of a car accident it pushes the motor down instead of letting it go into the passenger compartment
