    evrey vw i have been affiliated with costs more to maintain has more problems than and is atleast two years newer than my subaru although they do get better gas milage and get up and go

    good score high comp turbos are susposed to have some balls to them

    i know what your saying they have some guts for economy cars

    it's an automatic is your problem not kidding the 3 spd auto stinks and they suffer from a wide band of problems if it was me i would swap in a 5spd d/r it will make it faster and they have much fewer problems plus way better gas milage
