  1. I have a factory electric fan without the A/C fan or clutch fan.
  2. Grr, I just replied and the net messed up... I'll reply later. (LOL, I posted this and my reply came up.. stupid computer )
  3. True, this is basically the reason I decided to try to turbo an spfi setup. I have seen plenty of Chevy 350's that have TBI have a supercharger on them, with mild tuning, everything ran fine. I also figured, hey, if I dont have enough fuel, there are people adding auxilary injectors that are turned on at a certain pressure via pressure switches... Its not that, its the injector I believe. Just cant spray enough fuel to match say... 13 psi or whatever. Too much boost = too lean of a condition, which after a while will melt your pistons.. get yourself an A/F gauge and watch it like a hawk. There is enough fuel there for about 6 psi, @ 8, it starts leaning out toward the higher RPMS.. Yup, extra boost = extra air... even coming out of the cylinder after ignition.. o2 sensor picks up that extra oxygen and increases the amount of fuel it delivers.
  4. Guy I know made a pretty nice airboat using an EA82. Making a boat is definately possible.
  5. That extra thickness doesnt really do anything.. it makes it a little trickier to line the top two bolt holes up..
  6. OO! Thanks ausubaru!! thats the info i needed right there... no spending money for me yay yay yay
  7. I have the CSF as well... good radiator. What'd you pay for yours?
  8. Oh, when I tear this apart, do I need to worry about bearing preload when taking out the carrier?
  9. Umm.. on the lean subject, its simple, I have one injector, MPFI has 4. The MAF isnt effected... its stupid.. and.... i THOUGHT that the SPFI and MPFI computers were the same.
  10. Dang, the things I should have done BEFORE I resealed the motor.. oh well, I was on a timeframe.
  11. I know, I was joking.. glad you gotta kick outta that like I did!
  12. Non-turbo is a 1 row, Turbo is a 2 row... Definately get the 2 row, it cools well enough to fight headgasket overheating
  13. sweet! have you rebuilt an engine yet grandma?
  14. Nah, I've already reasealed my engine... I still have the bubbles in my coolant which I'm almost sure comes from that dept.
  15. Your right.. partially.. there have been plenty of times where I've been minding my own business and have had people come confront me over something I've said on the board...
  16. Ok, I asked for a set of maps... @ 8 psi it does fine, anything 11 psi or higher I quickly go lean.. Had a pretty nasty pinging issue at first that was cured by buying better gas. I think the 9.5:1 compression ratio definately helped make the headgaskets blow.. Oh, and theres no fuel cut that I've experienced.. There are no pressure switches under the hood (I think this is why I dont have boost cut, not sure yet)
