  1. OK, i'm having some *fun* putting an alarm into my '86 GL Wagon. The problem I'm having is finding the wires and getting the parking lights or hazard lights to flash with the alarm. I haven't decided if I want to flash my parking lights, or my hazards... so i'm looking for information on both right now. I would like to know the wire colors and which plug, and where they can be found (preferably under the steering column area). The wire that i'm connecting from the alarm is a +12V. I've heard that our headlights switch the ground, instead of apply power. So, to recap. I need to know the wire colors and locations of a wire for the hazard lights and the parking lights. I need to know if I can just hook my +12v wire to it to make them flash or if I need to do something fancy with a relay or something. The info needs to pertain to a 1986 GL wagon. I've tried getting info from my '87 FSM, and the wire colors don't seem to match up...
  2. hahahahaha Call H&R... only company I know of. I need 10 for the front of an Impreza 10mm longer than factory.
  3. What are the hours?! ::edit:: My door lock problem has been solved. ::edit::
  4. Sweet. I'm soo there, with ALL my subaru's. Although i'll probally pull a SubaruStyles and bring one on a trailer Ken, PM me the specifics of what you wanted me to talk to my boss about.
  5. Oh snap. I forgot to take my reading comprehension pills today. ::shrug:: I guess I have something to plan for then! I will most likely be there, perhaps with the wagon, might have some people with me.
  6. What time are you all meeting? I have belated valentines plans Sat. afternoon- Sun. Mr. and Mrs. Monica might try and make an appearance... probally without the wagon though.
  7. I helped Syphon install a Crimstopper 2000 in his '93 Turbo Legacy Sedan. Its actually pretty straight forward, but you will have to buy a cheap 2 wire actuator to work the drivers door lock. Factory there is just a switch, not an actuator. We bought the alarm off of Millionbuy.com. This is the one we got: http://www.millionbuy.com/crics2000.html We also got this actuator: http://www.millionbuy.com/accdoorlock.html To work the actuator from the alarm keyfob, you need to use a group of relays. Syphon ended up going to a stereo/alarm shop to get the special relays and wiring it himself. For mine, i found this: http://www.logjamelectronics.com/relaypack.html This alarm we used didn't have remote start, but millionbuy sells a crimestopper that does: http://www.millionbuy.com/crics2011rs.html This may require a set of relays aswell... so make sure to research on the crimestopper website: http://www.crimestopper.com/index3.html Here is the CS-2011RS manuals: http://www.crimestopper.com/techweb/InstructionBooks/Alarm/cs2011-install-1.pdf and http://www.crimestopper.com/techweb/InstructionBooks/Alarm/cs2011-owners-1.pdf Hope this helps!
  8. Optima Redtop in both my RX and wagon. $120 up at my local store (Bow Wow Autoparts). Should be able to get them at Schucks no problem.
  9. Jared said he would have leave from 2/16 to 3/1. Or atleast... thats when he'd be home in WA.
  10. Ryan, Danbob99 aka Dan (works at Smart Service) has perhaps the fastest EA82T in the area. Its a GL10 wagon, pretty much fully loaded, and it still hauls balls. I've helped him mod his car from day one, learning alot from my mistakes. I continue to try new things (thus my car runs infrequently) and what works is usually passed on to him. I spoke with him this afternoon and he would be more than happy to give you a ride, or let you drive his wagon so you can get a feel of what can be expected. I also have a bone stock auto turbo xt if you want to get a good baseline...
  11. Ryan, I'm here to offer my support. I would look into picking up an RX coupe or RX sedan of the '87 vintage or so. XSNRG here on this board has an RX coupe shell (which Zap has some experience working with) that perhaps could be picked up for really cheap. Then we could source getting the engine, trans, lsd togther. This shell already has served soem rallying duty previously by Sean of Rallitek. It has a cage in it, but not quite to spec. Its already stripped interior wise... As for engine mods, I have a pretty good idea of what does, and doesn't work at this point. Having a heavily modified RX myself (street) and a hand in heavily modifying other turbo 80's soob, I feel I have some good experience. I am more than eager to help, get my hands dirty, and share some dirty secrets... Just let me know when you are ready to find out how quickly you can blow up an EA82T motor j/k... well kinda :-P
  12. By tried I looked at the injector and deteremined it was a pintle style. I recently "aquired" DSM blue top injectors which appear to fit into our intake manifold. It will be simple to put a hose over the end to make them compatable for my already finished fuel system. However, I won't be doing this until I do MS&EDIS.
  13. Real numbers are amazing. Will, much props to you. Now to get my arse in gear and fix mine.
  14. Here is the one on my wagon. Front: Under front: You can see in the second pic, the bars (far outsides of the picture) are welded to a tab/plate that comes down form the sub frame. There is then a plate and large bolt taht bolt through the front tow point, the whole thing was then welded apparently. The front bar was setup to accept a collapsable tow bar. This system has worked for just about 20,000 miles. Its previous owner (my grandpa) used it as a tow vehicle for his motorhome adventures. It saved my front end from serious damage on a some overzealous driving on some forest service roads by the ocean, thus the crooked bar. Pretty sure most of the weight of the car landed on it. Also has been a neat place to mount lights.
  15. The car has ran for sometime on the my fuel rails. Lemme find a picture and I'll post it here. Oh, and I have about $450 into my fuel system. And no, i'm not gonna sell them. There wasn't much interest, and I would be hard pressed to do them for $50 a set. Then you'd have to buy all the hose, fittings, new pressure regulator... Andy, no idea on emissions, its not due till this next august. Who knows if it will even run by then. BTW, those that don't know, the car is not running currently do to leaky HG's. *edit* PICS! http://www.subarutex.com/gallery/Fuel-System-Pics
  16. OMG Real numbers!! I love it. I'd like to see a couple runs at some higher PSI. I'm a firm believer that a couple more PSI should be added with an IC. Very nice work Kevin. I wish we had a relatively cheap dyno around here.
  17. You are my hero. Someone that actually take the car, mods it, then goes to the dyno... Awesome. I bet the XT6 feels good, even for an auto Have good one, can't wait to see results for the RX.
  18. People really need to stop bumping threads from years ago!!
