Hi, I have a 95 Legacy L AWD and was wondering if anyone is having the same problem where the regular headlights is not lighting up the roads well? I personally tried replacing the standard halogens to Sylvania Silverstars but it still feels dim. Perhaps I am spoiled with HIDs from my other cars or where I live where there aren't enough street lighting but I'm just curious if anyone else have made attempts to make their headlights brighter. I thought about aftermarket HID kits and/or installing a set of fog/driving lights but prefer to avoid these options if I can. One thing I did notice is that my headlights are a little yellow. Can they be cleaned? or maybe replaced? Any advice or help will be appreciated.

Novakaine, ..from experience 1) Definitely see a doctor. If the doc sees that it is bad, he may even prescribe you the painkiller (naproxen) and muscle relaxer combo! He may even tell u to take a MRI or two. 2) Definitely start shopping for an attorney. It is possible that after your doctor's evaluation, he may recommend an attorney for you as certain doctors work with attorneys in accident cases. Once the attorney is in the equation, chances are it means you are going to be suing for personal injury. 3) Once you initiate the process of personal injury, be prepared for your opponent's insurance to not pay for your car's physical damage especially if they know that they will be paying for physical injury. Some insurance companies are shady like this. They know if the case is against them, they will be paying a lot more for physical injury so what they do is instead of paying for both, they rather make you wait and see what happens of the physical injury case. Physical injury cases, depending on the evidence can take a very long time to settle or go to trial. Because of this, they are banking that you will lose patience and drop the case or somehow do something that will screw up your case. ie: change your testimony or maybe some witness will pop up and not favor your case. 4) don't fix you car until the insurance has looked into your car. Even so, take pics, lots of pics. I would say depending on how bad your car is, at least 2 rolls and don't use digital. If your case goes into litigation, keep those negatives in a safe place. ..just my $02

so i got my first check engine light today, scanned it and turned out to be a P0340 error relating to the camshaft position sensor. From my readings in the forum, it seems that it is a easy replacement. Unfortunately, I am not even close to an novice on this stuff so does anyone have diagrams or pics of where this camshaft position sensor will be on a 1995 Legacy L AWD? Thanks in advance. -Ray

All, I purchased a 95 Subaru Legacy L AWD about a few months back, runs great and all as I use it for a commuter car. The other night, I had to run out for groceries real quick and just grabbed the car that was at the end of the driveway which so happen to be the Legacy. It was the first time I was driving at night and I realize that the Legacy, at least mine perhaps do not have lights that light up where vent selection is. I get the selection light when you select a specific vent (green and one amber) but I do not get the steady backlight that shows all the vent when you turn on the headlights to let you know what to select. Is this normal for Legacy models or did the dash light which lights the vent backlight went? If it is the bulbs, is it a easy replacement? BTW, I did check all the fuses and they are all in order, nothing blown. Much thanks for any help in advance. -Ray
