AA lift installation/use thread
cmiller replied to torxxx's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I got my AA lift in one day. It took me and my buddy 1 hour for the rear and about 6 hours for the front. The hardest part for me was getting the tranny bolts to line up. Had to use a couple of come-alongs to get things in place, wood blocks and hammer to fine tune adjustments. I definitely recommend getting all six tranny bolts on but loose so you can wiggle stuff around to line the holes up before cranking down on them. I did this on a full size hydraulic garage lift though. Made everything alot easier by being able to stand under the car! Be careful when you drop the engine and tranny down, watch the heater hoses and several misc ground wires so they don't get pulled out. His instructions are pretty good and everything went in well. I am very pleased with my purchase and the quality of workmanship on the AA products. I also saw that strut that he compressed and bent! Amazing! Good test on lift durability. Be sure to check the bolts after driving it around for a few days. -

Washer Fluid full but nothing coming out
cmiller replied to erikvr's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
You could have a clogged hose somwhere, or it got jiggled loose in the hatch. Check the hoses first then, when you activate the pump try to locate it and see it it is pumping fluid or just making noise. -
Lift finally in last night! 1 hour for the rear and 8 hours for the front! The dang tranny mounts were stubborn to line up, but works great. Excited to get ahold of a skidplate to cover that front end. Thanks James! -Chris P.S. sorry for that long ride home

You're thinking of the right place. Its a lot more rundown now becaus the owner is doing mobile car crushing now. He has several 5 gallon paint buckets full of alloy and steel lug nuts! Its a PUG goldmine. PM me for contact info for the yard.

Awsome car! Looks like its in great shape! -
I just found an old wrecking yard down here in Corvallis, OR that wrecked mostly old Peugeots. They have stacks of cars piled everywhere with 14" and 15" steels or alloys on them! I got a set of 5 "14 alloys with tires for $100. Now just waiting for my lift to show up to put the wildcats on. If anyone needs Peugeot wheels, let me know. I can get you the contact info of the yard.
