  1. This sounds like a great event! How is it for Novice competitors that are learning the sport?
  2. Anyone know of a co-driver available for the TSD tomorrow?
  3. Heading out to the show from Tigard 7am Saturday morning if anyone wants to join.
  4. Hey Jerry, do you have any pics of these bumper plates you could post?
  5. Anyone need a Loyale EA82 5SPD push button 4WD transmission? I could bring it to the show if someone wants to make me an offer?
  6. on my Loyale I've had good luck with the PIAA blades.
  7. I put the Goodridge stainless braided brake lines on today. Huge difference in pedal feel and braking efficiency!
  8. I'm going to wait a bit until I need to do my next oil change since I have to take it all apart anyway, plus a good time to flush out my coolant. Keep checking back.
  9. I would like to buy a spare tire swing gate that attached to the passenger side of the bumper. Also thinking if it would be possible to have another half jerry can mount attached to it just like the one you made for me on the drivers side of the bumper. Would there be enough room with a 195 R14 spare tire and a half jerry can all on the same swing gate? I have a friend that can weld it on for me up here. Let me know if you can get one together for me and how much. Please call me if you have any questions. Thanks!
  10. Well, stopped by Warn to see if they had any info on the brush guard I have. Hopefully will get some info back this week because they had to do some serious digging up old files! Also figured out that Legacy front brake lines are the same as the Loyale lines just a bit longer which is great for the lifted rig. So I picked up a set of G-Stop braided lines, taking the rear lines to be modified to fit my car. Then today I picked up an oil cooler from a '98 Forester which happens to bolt right up to the EJ22. I'll post pics and a parts list needed soon if anyone wants to do this modification.
  11. The power steering lines off of the EJ pump mount right to the EA steering rack points on the engine crossmember no problem, just make a couple small bends to line them up. The AC is doable but my problem I ran into was no room for the condenser because I had to put radiator fans in front of my radiator instead of the usual behind. So that took the spot that the AC condenser was in and then I lost interest. I still would like to have AC again one day just not a big priority. Let us know what you come up with.
  12. I noticed that too but figured since they made the effort to even list it on their website seemed promising and that it will probably be made. Looks like Suberdave got it figured out on fitment to EA82 cars axels, just need the custom driveshaft and the ARB parts... Then I'd have an excuse for on board air:grin:
  13. Now I know for older EA82 Subies the R180 wont directly fit because of the different carrier and subframe mounts, and the obvious stub shafts being different, so could the R180 be retrofitted on cars that originally came with the R160 rear end by addressing these points? Because if the diffs could be swapped then I see no reason that we couldn't have that air locker since its made for the R180. hmmmm...
  14. I saw that ARB makes an air locker for R180 diffs with the intended fitment for Nissan trucks. I then was pondering the idea of adapting this to the Subaru R180 diff? Anyone have any thoughts on this? Done it? Even worth the bother to try? Could that be fitted to older Subarus instead of the R160 diff?
  15. This has been an amazing project to watch! Can't wait to see this mod driving!! Anyone bringing a driving version to WCSS?
  16. Lately I've been more focusing this car as a off road overland vehicle. Something that can go out in the hills for a week or cross country on trails alone for a week or so. It's fun having something different than the usual Land Cruiser, Land Rover, Jeep, etc... but still be able to keep up with them. More pics to come of some other mods I've done, also thinking of the right way to re-enforce the front bumper for a winch but still keep the Warn brush guard.
  17. Its been a while, here's an update: New rear bumper from HTI, I'm loving the Jerry can swing gate. Also put three Jerry can trays up top, giving me another full tank of gas and some water that I can carry. I think I'll need to ad a second spare tire swing gate on the passenger side of the rear bumper also. And here's some pics from the Wallowas
  18. I would really like to pick up the rear bumper sometime before the end of next week if possible. PM me or email me when you get a chance so we can figure this out. Thanks!
  19. The steering knuckle joint out of a Forester works great for lengthening your steering. Its just the right amount extra for a 4" lift.
  20. Thanks for those links! The bumper looks great with the gaps filled in! I saw the pic on your website but it doesn't show the whole tire mount, just curious on how it all looks for fitment of a jerry can. Also how much for the bumper and the rear tire mount? Could I drive down to Coburg and pick it up/pay in cash in person? I'm just outside of Portland. Thanks!
