  1. How low does the rear bumper sit? Do you have to put a bend down in your tail pipe to clear the bumper or does it sit high enough for a straight pipe to clear it. If not, can you cut a curve out like the factory bumper for the tail pipe? Do you have any other pics of the bumper to post? I seriously want to get one soon! Thanks!
  2. Also put a Primitive Racing rear skid plate on it to protect the cover from snagging on a rock. Put on some HTI tail light guards too!
  3. The tail light guards showed up today and they are very well built. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Great instructions too! Installed easily and clears the rear hatch no prob.
  4. Yeah your tail pipe should come to the edge of the bumper. So yes too short, and will continue to make a drippy plastic mess until you have no bumper left there. Also it will start to melt the styrofoam bumper insert leaving you with a non functional bumper. Not so good.
  5. I'm running bigger tires on a lifted rig with a roof rack and am still getting around 28-30mpg on the HWY with an EJ22 in the Loyale.
  6. Lets just say no Subie really got stuck, in fact Greg broke a rear axle and was running in front wheel drive low range the rest of the weekend and still did awesome. I know a couple of the other rigs were getting stuck here and there like the new Ford Exploder. The Edison OHV Trail System wasn't too bad. We had to turn around because of deep snow and it getting late. The trail wasn't bad at all. The only thing to look out for is the sharp lava rock. I slashed a tire on it. Good rocky climbs and tight fits around trees, rocks, etc... really fun! I want to run it again and do the whole loop next time with some 6ply tires instead of my 3 ply AT's. I highly recommend it! Great views of Bachelor and surrounding buttes. They are perfect trails for a Subaru because its so tight in spots. Here's a link to the trail map: http://www.deschutescounty4wheelers.com/Maps/Edison%20Vicinity%20Map.pdf
  7. Two weekends ago Greg, Jason, Darrel, and I met up with an off road adventures group out in SE Oregon at Christmas Valley to run the desert and dunes out there. We first all met out at the Edison OHV area just outside of Bend on the way to Mt. Bachelor for a trail run. Then we drove out to Christmas Valley and did a night dune run with the rest of the off road adventures group. The next day was all dunes. Then on Sunday on our way home we did some sight seeing, stopping first at Table Rock, then Crack in the Ground, and a few caves. Then headed home. Great trip and beautiful scenery! More trails and random dirt roads then what we knew what to do with. So much cool area to explore. We could have spent a couple weeks out there and still not seen everything.
  8. EJ-EA adapter plate and machined Flywheel are excellent! Parts are on my daily driver and hold up perfectly. The fit and finish are outstanding. You can tell Scott is someone who takes great pride in his work. I would highly recommend SJR products.
  9. Very cool! Look forward to some pics of the kit and installed. Thanks Shawn for sharing this info.
  10. Added a Perrin R160 rear diff cover on the LSD for the Loyale. I think the only EA82 LSD with one...
  11. I had EJ sized inlets brazed on my EA radiator to keep the factory fit. I also put 2 fans on it, one on a switch and one for the ECU. So far no overheating issues to speak of and I have put alot of long hard mile on the swap. It actually keeps really cool.
  12. What's the turnaround time for the light guards? I'm just up in Tigard, OR. They look great! Also do you have a better picture than on the website of the rear bumper including the tire mount? Is there an option for mounting a Jerry can on the rear bumper? I'm really interested in one of those also. thanks!
  13. Taken just this last weekend up in the Wallowas in Eastern Oregon, 5000' elevation plenty of snow left.
