Any sort of security feature that is keeping you from turning it on like a security code of sorts? I have heard that some of the newer cars are equiped with that but I am not sure if the wrx has that.

I would say going up to a 195 or 205 should be safe without lifting ect.

I think for those you will have to look outside of the usa. I think australia folks may be able to source some.

Where do I get the dual weber carb setup
Jerry DeMoss replied to HATCHY's topic in Subaru Retrofitting
I got two rather banged up dual carb air boxes from a aircraft shop not too long ago and I have yet to straighten them out and make them pretty again and put them on one of my ea81 dually set ups. -

I could smell wide body a mile away. And it wasn't mayonaise smell that gave it away either. Should look nice. -

Jerry DeMoss replied to moosens's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
A 272/260 grind for duals should suffice! I wanted to build an adapter plate as well to go onto a redline weber adapter for the dual carb set up. Never got the whole thing under way, just made some models with some wood. -

Try grounding it to the frame then the engine and compare to what you came up with. -
Exactly. The reason I stated not as much to the exhaust is cause that is where you loose torque and that is one of the prime benefactors to the n/a motor. I agree there is an awfull lot that can be gained especially on the intake. I hope I didn't come across too harsh.

If you ever come across any 13" alloy enkies or 14" alloy pugs keep me in mind.

There really is quite a bit of material that can be taken off safely on the ea81 heads. I have done a few in the past along with the present ea81t build up I am working on now.The main thing I have found is match port the exhaust side to the gasket (not as much needed for n/a) and the intake side as well. The valve pockets are another area for great improvement. The point where the valve seat meets the heads inside the area where the valve sits is a good place to start from. Do a little at a time and do both heads equally while you progress. Another good thing is make sure you are doing so on the larger valve heads. I wouldn't really bother on the smaller ones since they are limited by the valve size. Happy grinding.!

So can I ride along with anyone on a trip wherever we decide to go?
