  1. I would seriously grab another bulb and plug it in before really chasing your tail on wire gremlins. It could be a bad bulb to begin with or a relay problem.
  2. Any sort of security feature that is keeping you from turning it on like a security code of sorts? I have heard that some of the newer cars are equiped with that but I am not sure if the wrx has that.
  3. Really nice car and rims!I would love to find a set like those some day.
  4. Crikey Connie! That thing is rediculous! Looks absolutely terrific! (Now to make it run great!)
  5. What type IAC do you have on that setup? Sounds like the ecu is not liking some signal coming from the engine/intake manifold so it doesn't respond imediately to it. I guess I am a little stumped.
  6. I would say going up to a 195 or 205 should be safe without lifting ect.
  7. May even be a bad torque converter. Drain the fluid and look at it and smell it. That should tell you something.
  8. I think for those you will have to look outside of the usa. I think australia folks may be able to source some.
  9. I am looking for a pinout or basic explanation of what wires do what on a 5 speed d/r trans off of a '86 ea82 car? Recent 5spd d/r trans swap into a '84 turbo coupe. I am looking for the pinouts so I can have reverse lights and such once again. Help is greatly apreciated.
  10. I got two rather banged up dual carb air boxes from a aircraft shop not too long ago and I have yet to straighten them out and make them pretty again and put them on one of my ea81 dually set ups.
  11. I could smell wide body a mile away. And it wasn't mayonaise smell that gave it away either. Should look nice.
  12. Happy birthday Mick! Keep on rollin' in the subies!
  13. I think hella might make a brighter version of those sealed beams or the sylvania silver stars work well.
  14. Very nice coupe for sure! Where in the world did you get the rear window louvre though? I would love to get that for the tcoupe project.
  15. I saw you leaving when I showed up . Your car looked nice. I ended up getting a IC for my newer tleg project and selling my sti tmic.
  16. I would start by checking the clutch on the ac pump and the electrical contacts.
  17. A 272/260 grind for duals should suffice! I wanted to build an adapter plate as well to go onto a redline weber adapter for the dual carb set up. Never got the whole thing under way, just made some models with some wood.
  18. Try grounding it to the frame then the engine and compare to what you came up with.
  19. Exactly. The reason I stated not as much to the exhaust is cause that is where you loose torque and that is one of the prime benefactors to the n/a motor. I agree there is an awfull lot that can be gained especially on the intake. I hope I didn't come across too harsh.
  20. If you ever come across any 13" alloy enkies or 14" alloy pugs keep me in mind.
  21. There really is quite a bit of material that can be taken off safely on the ea81 heads. I have done a few in the past along with the present ea81t build up I am working on now.The main thing I have found is match port the exhaust side to the gasket (not as much needed for n/a) and the intake side as well. The valve pockets are another area for great improvement. The point where the valve seat meets the heads inside the area where the valve sits is a good place to start from. Do a little at a time and do both heads equally while you progress. Another good thing is make sure you are doing so on the larger valve heads. I wouldn't really bother on the smaller ones since they are limited by the valve size. Happy grinding.!
  22. So can I ride along with anyone on a trip wherever we decide to go?
