  1. Thats news to me about Phil. I hope we get some snow in time for the little outing.
  2. I like to hear about this new stuff. Any chance we could get a picture of that sealed bearing kit? Sounds like it is for sure worth the money.
  3. Ya I would give almost anything to have one of those! Welcome Ozzie. I will have to take a trip there one day cause it sure looks beautiful.
  4. I am totally there. I am starting to look for that now also. I will weld the tabs rather than doing the complete swap. Any new stuff going on with the ea81t coupe?
  5. I found these shims to be readily available on ebay. Forgive me moderators if this is the wrong spot for posting this but I wanted a little more response. I contacted the vendor and this company seems to be pretty capable of getting whatever type of shim for doing the xt6 alt swap on the ea81 or ea82 type cars. I thinking of ordering some soon enough from this company. http://cgi.ebay.com/Delco-Remy-Alternator-Fan-to-Pulley-Spacer_W0QQitemZ250025368353QQihZ015QQcategoryZ33573QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem
  6. I have an LED fake tree but I like pines smell and I would love to go along. We could have fun hitting each other with pine boughs.
  7. Looks like a nice intercooler. Not super big but the core looks plenty thick. Is it a home made one?
  8. One more question that comes to mind is weather or not you need to use the inner valve spring when using the much heavier duty valve springs from Ram? I have the springs allready and wanted to know this small detail before I starting into the heads on the ea81t.
  9. Just so happens to be a new fangled boomerang that does not return. Looks very nice, I may have to buy one when I have the cash.
  10. Thanks for the advice. The car is no longer in Yeti's posession. He got a brat and may be doing the weber shuffle soon enough.
  11. I would love to give that a try sometime.....For now I bought header wrap for the header/turbo manifold and dp. I will see little gains I am sure but the under hood temps may be a bit lower. In the future I will definately give that a try.I will be doing that on my ej22t build. We shall see. I definately want to try that for sure.
  12. Looks great, powder coating can really make something kinda nice into something really nice.
  13. Gladly! One thing I have noticed this far along with getting the ports all matched up is that they should really help alot to get flowing evenly. Lots of restriction in a little aluminum here and there. I am interested to see how the ported throttle body and turbo help out the whole deal. Exciting to hear others have used the ram valve springs!
  14. Please post your ideas of what mods you have done to the ea81t. I have read plenty of the ea81t threads that pop up in a search and I want to resurect any thoughts or new ideas. Seems the ea81t doesn't get as much attention anymore but I believe it deserves an overview to address some questions to the ea81t's. First of all what I am working on or have completed: -Porting an ea81t intake with heads soon to follow with ram performance springs. -Ported throttle body. -Ea82t turbo, ported intake section of the turbo(cold side and hot side) Exhaust- Ea82t dp. Need to modify the ea81t header to bolt up to the ea82t turbo or try to fit a ea82t manifold to the ea81t engine. Questions or answers apreciated.
  15. I just got some raybestos rotors didn't get oem and they are working just fine.
  16. Friggin' sweet! I love that style pugs and you made them look even better. That looks like a rally tire, would probly do quite well with that set up. Great looking rx man! Also how did you fill in the emblem on your center caps? Looks good as well.
  17. Thanks, I know he has something laying around like that.
  18. I thought I would ask if anyone has ever had experience modifying their ea81t maf to be able to be bolted up with a cone filter on the end? Also is there anyother maf type like the ea82t that could be adapted to be used with the ea81t ecu? I am not particularly fond of the limiting factors of the design of the configuration of the maf on the ea81t but I had a brain storm of what if's the other day and I just had to ask.
  19. If you want to grab a few parts for me and make a little money let me know. There are a few parts I need off of a ea81t.
  20. I will have to look for that nice imp next time I am up in Alaska. That looks like it would be fun to drive down some old logging trails where I grew up at in soldotna.
  21. That is a nice looking brat! You don't really see too many white ones like that one. Definately a good base to start with no matter what you want to do with it.
  22. Not sure exactly if that will but I have heard it is best to use a iac that is made to work with your ecu/brain. It might be worth a try.
  23. Yes but before all of that do you want to try and chop the top down about 4 inches and add some wire spoke daytons on it just for laughs?
  24. That is nice Keith! Nice color too. Glad you got a replacement car for ya to drive instead of you rx or lifted rig. If you need some parts found at the yard just let me know. Glad we found your unicorn mirror that was so hard to find. Does that one have heated seats and other stuff like that?
