Exactly.I have the OZ/byb lift kit with rx springs up front on my '86 hatch and my camber has settled down quite a bit. I think that your strut blocks may be backwards as he said.Sadly enough I have seen what backwards lift blocks can look like on a fellow hatch.

I still think that would be an insane project with a lightly modded ej22t in a little hatch with awd.

EA82 NA intake manifold on an EA81 - worth it?
Jerry DeMoss replied to dfoyl's topic in Subaru Retrofitting
The carbed manifold and the spfi manifold are not the same. The bolt pattern on the spfi intake(on the throttle body area) is quite a bit different.I am going to be doing this mod as well so I think it is well worth the efforts from what I hear. -
I have a set of rx springs that aren't mounted to anything. If it helps I can measure that later on. -Also please don't cut rx springs to make them shorter. That would make a few rx lovers sad.:-\

How Do I tell an 84 ea81
Jerry DeMoss replied to HATCHY's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Most likely it is a large valve head.I think 83 1/2 was the time they started to change over to that when the hydro ea81 was starting to be introduced. No definates unless you can see the valve covers and they say the "Do not adjust" sign on them. -
where do I buy 505 15 inch rim tires?
Jerry DeMoss replied to HATCHY's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
If you have 390mm rims I know that michelin makes a couple tires that will fit that.I think I remember hearing that before. They may be a rally tire of some sort. -

Diesel loyale thread over in transplants forum
Jerry DeMoss replied to zyewdall's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
If I had my choice on a diesel to throw into a ea82 chassis it would be the one built by toyota that they put in the 4wd trucks in the mid 80's.Not common in the usa but it is a stout engine.I guess the vw wouldn't be all that bad if you gotta go diesel and you know that engine pretty well. -
manual transaxle shaft
Jerry DeMoss replied to Subaru_dude's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Ya there is a seal there.I am not certain off the top of my head as to its name but I think it is called the pilot shaft seal.I am pretty sure you have to split the tranny slightly to get that one out of there. -
