  1. Ya I wrote him a PM so hopefully he already is pulling parts.Would love to see another rx in the area driving around.
  2. Just to give everyone the fyi, there is a white '87 rx at western auto salvage right off of federal. It has 180k and has quite a bit of rust.Transmission felt solid from what I could tell.Let me know if anyone needs some more info on any of the other stuff.
  3. I would start looking at the obvious stuff first like... -Vaccum hoses(cracks or broken ones or something disconnected.) -Air intake clamps(all tight) -nothing out of place or totally wrong. Will probly take a while hunting down the vac hoses but worth looking at.Also check the air and fuel filters and that should start getting you in the right direction.
  4. I should be able to make it allthough time will only tell as we aproach the date of the meet.If I make it I will be in my lifted hatch.
  5. They did make duallies for the ea71 and ea81.So you could either put on the ea71 duals or change out your engine and go with an ea81 and put duals on that.Nothing needs to be changed internally on the motor as you asked.
  6. Dang!Talk about pulling it from the grave like that with just putting on a cam gear!Good job dude!
  7. Exactly.Like one redneck guy said to me at the emissions place:"What the hell you got the spare under the hood for?" I just went away laughing!
  8. Don't think I can make it.I do love that BW3's on 80th though.Just can't make it during the week.
  9. Your efforts would be better off getting a complete ej22t.I personally wouldn't put all of those internals into a n/a block.I have a ej22t that I have been thinking about putting into a 1st gen impreza like that.Would be a fun project.Over all if I were you I would just hold out for an ej22t engine.
  10. Sounds really great! What intake manifold are you going to use? Also we must see some pictures of your insane rx when you get the engine bits back in there.I love engine shots.
  11. Your silver wagon runs great Shawn!Love the deep sound of the engine! It is a really clean install also! Thanks for showing it to me when I stopped in.
  12. Ya I have a set of 140's on my hatch.I will try to get some pics soon.
  13. Excellent write up on the whole thing.Makes me think of stuff before I attempt an ej swap like i want to do in the future.Nice work!
  14. Hey Snowman where was that picture taken? Was it in the pass by Turnagain(forgot how to spell it) arm? Looks kinda like where I used to ride snowmachines in that area.
  15. I can't make it to this one guys and gals.I will be going to las vegas that day.Maybe next time.
