  1. I would be up for buying those kits for the exhaust studs for sure!Is that for one side or for both?Sounds great!I Would get one for an ej motor also since I saw you have those available. Is this going to be a thread right in type of thing or will they need to be drilled/tapped out to a bigger size?Let us know when they become available.
  2. Your car is rad as always man!Looks at home in that deep snow!
  3. The oil royal purple(which I use right now)I have found first hand to be a little easier on my engines at start up.In the past I have used Mobil 1 and could see a difference in engine noise at start up right away. The one additive that royal purple has in it is:synerlec.Which I have been told helps adhere to engine parts.Beyond that I don't know.
  4. Ya I was like great idea when I first saw that! I definately need some of those.I would go with safety wire since that is what I am used to on airplanes.Good job on your project. That T-brat looks sweet!
  5. I haven't seen any gen 1's for at least a month. There was a gen 1 wagon at colorado auto parts(didn't deserve to be there),but since then I haven't seen anything at all.I always keep my eyes peeled for the early gens.
  6. +1 for the vote for a hatch! I think a black one would be great or a white one with a new interpretation of the old SRX rally hatch would be great.I think the ej20 would be perfect!
  7. I did the same thing when I lived in Soldotna. One thing I will always remember is how important it is to put cardboard in front of the radiator.
  8. There is one on ebay for ea81 right now. I have tried a lighter flywheel before on a truck and I know for sure that it wouldn't be the best idea for offroad unless you are quick on the throttle.
  9. Welcome! Always nice to see another pushrod engine car around here.Sounds like a nice project car!
  10. That ej22 idea would be a really nice sleeper in that car! If you left it non lifted you would be able to smoke alot of cars. But lifting would sweet also.
  11. Was just at S-wings today since they are about a 3 blocks from where I work.Their number is #303-777-8658.They are right around the intersection of missippi&santa fe.
  12. Jeff, you may be better off getting another front hub assembly off another 6 and rebuilding that one.I just thought it may be easier for you than doing it on the car. There is a 6 a PNS right now.You can't miss it ,it is bright yellow like Phils car.
  13. I have ported heads on ea81 and ea82's.Never done the mpfi heads and intake on a ea82,but on the single port ea81& ea82 I have gone up to 1.5" on the intake and it has helped alot in the upper rpm band.As others have said "bigger is not always better". One thing I have noticed when head porting is that when you do start out, think about what rpm band you want your engine to make most of its power.Like if you are building a trail rig you don't want to do very much except polish up the combustion chamber and maybe a light polish on the exhaust.
  14. Nice car man! How many miles did you get it with?I like it alot.
  15. Uhhh ya!!! That is gonna be a rocket ship either way. I hope you have a neck brace!
  16. That is such a pretty car! Nice work.I really love that yellow color!
  17. Great shots! Subes and yotas are the only ones I see that can truly ford through snow like that! Good job!
  18. Looks nice Rick! Are those your Kumho Mt's on there?Looks like it sits up pretty good.I like the Fuji sticker on the back.
  19. I am assuming power windows is that right? Should be able to adjust the window adjustment height by means of the regulator.Should be a little bit of play there. If all else fails call someone at a body shop and pick their brain about things to try.Good luck.
  20. I think it would be a kick arse engine in a little subie.....But I love homebuilt aircrafts also.I would love to see the climb rate on a little 2 seater plane....Would absolutely be amazing.
  21. I am still up for the trip!I would love to make this happen!
  22. Best for you probly to get a new one.I would spray it down with some silicone lube.Something that repels moisture.
  23. I am still looking for that stuff Mick.It seems that most of that stuff is gone by the time I see the car.Hopefully something will turn up soon.I will keep you posted.Haven't seen that maroon color of your hatch on another car in quite a long time.
