Alternator wiring ej22 in ea body
Is there a slim chance that the pulley size may be different causing it to not turn fast enough to create voltage?I may sound like an idiot but it was just a thought.

Courtneys motor swap mess thread.
Jerry DeMoss replied to SuBrat84's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI would check the coil pack.I have heard of those going bad.Not very possible that the t-belts are on wrong if installed by CCR.They probly do those so often they could do it in their sleep.Check your grounds, check your plug wires, and your coil. Most likely you have something electrical.Good luck.

Questions-
I would check your cam seals and front crank seal. Those 3 seals would be wise to replace when doing timing belts, and that may solve your oil leak. The other main one I would replace would be your valve cover gaskets. Those usually are the first things that will need replacing. As far as your pugs go.Those are 14" alloys IIRC.

I see you little wagon!
I think it is kinda exciting to find stuff like that.I usually start to smile and then do a double take and then go take a look.Kinda makes your whole day.I know that may sound pretty dumb but I guess still fun just the same.

steel vacuum lines under the manifold..easy removal?
Agreed.I noticed that as well when working on either manifold.Ea81 definately needs to be pulled.

Engine making a clicking sound!
Jerry DeMoss replied to BSOD2600's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI agree.Either Marvel or go with some seafoam.Pour either in your oil.The only down side is that after running it you will need to change your oil again.

Painting the hatch, need some suggestions....
I really think you should leave your hatch white.I love the way the white hatch's look. The only thing I would do is try to get some srx decals made up and put those on there, and get your rims powder coated white or gold. But that is just me.

I can see that you will probly be building a pull behind BBQ pit soon enough with some offroad tires on it! Just kidding. You will get the hang of welding soon enough.Exhaust is one of the harder things to weld anyway.Did you get a stick or wire feed?

Fuel Smell when tank is above 3/4??
Jerry DeMoss replied to RallyKeith's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI would recomend checking your fuel tanks evap canister.I am not sure if that is the correct name for it but it collects excess gas vapor from the tank.Over time I know they can get old and may need to get a new one.I am not 100% sure that is your fix but I have found that to be the case in quite a few vehicles with the same symtoms.Good luck.
