Will EA82T turbo work on EA81T?
Jerry DeMoss replied to DerFahrer's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Ya should no problem.Water and oil cooled as oppose to most turbo's on the ea81t which were almost all oil only.Just need to hook up some coolant lines.Flanges may be a little differnt.I haven't compared the 2 next to each other so I am not sure. -
I like it! Looks meaty!

Jerry DeMoss replied to 75subie's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Good job on that brat Jon!I love it.I like that you got it with T-tops and the alloys.I really want a T-top brat too sometime! -
Is there a slim chance that the pulley size may be different causing it to not turn fast enough to create voltage?I may sound like an idiot but it was just a thought.

Pics from the Colorado Old School Meet!
Jerry DeMoss replied to DrKrazy's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
Glad you made it back safely.Sounds like a fun drive back. Thanks for coming to the meet.Took some major dedication to make it here.Glad I was able to meet ya. -
I would check your cam seals and front crank seal. Those 3 seals would be wise to replace when doing timing belts, and that may solve your oil leak. The other main one I would replace would be your valve cover gaskets. Those usually are the first things that will need replacing. As far as your pugs go.Those are 14" alloys IIRC.

I see you little wagon!
Jerry DeMoss replied to Caboobaroo's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
I think it is kinda exciting to find stuff like that.I usually start to smile and then do a double take and then go take a look.Kinda makes your whole day.I know that may sound pretty dumb but I guess still fun just the same. -
Looks great! Did you go through any low hanging trees?Noticed the lights on your rollbar are a little off kilter.

An hour maybe 2 depending on if you have done it before.Light enough to lift it out yourself or have a friend help. -

I am game!We got a fake tree so I don't think I will need one but I would love to pile some trees on top just for the fun of it! -

Painting the hatch, need some suggestions....
Jerry DeMoss replied to 75subie's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I really think you should leave your hatch white.I love the way the white hatch's look. The only thing I would do is try to get some srx decals made up and put those on there, and get your rims powder coated white or gold. But that is just me. -
Rx transmission.

I would recomend checking your fuel tanks evap canister.I am not sure if that is the correct name for it but it collects excess gas vapor from the tank.Over time I know they can get old and may need to get a new one.I am not 100% sure that is your fix but I have found that to be the case in quite a few vehicles with the same symtoms.Good luck.
