  1. I'll take the pugs off your hands!I have some 15's already so that would be perfect to have an extra rim or 2. Pm me with your location please.I want to come peak at your car anyway. Thanks -Jerry
  2. Looks really nice! Will be a great lookin' sube when its done! I really like the white on that one.I probly would have painted it the same.
  3. Unless you are going to do a power flush like above described I would recomend using the specific seafoam stuff for auto transmissions before you change your fluid.Gets rid of deposites and varnish ect.
  4. That thing looks terrific!I love it!Some day I will have a nice gen 1 like that!Too bad so far away.
  5. Little bit narrower on the lower mounts. You will need to add spacers or just find one on a gen 2 which would be much easier.
  6. Could it be possible that when doing the water pump you disconnected a ground and forgot to reattach it?
  7. Those are pretty nice pictures. My favorite are the ones of hatch's in the lower left corner.
  8. That 10mm external torx worked like a charm.I used it this morning and the axle stubs popped right off! Gotta love air rachets.
  9. Agreed!I love the ea81 just for that reason. Also being the under dog and having most people think it looks like a puny little engine is pretty nice when you really know its potential. I really like the looks of that turbo brat!I would do the 5speed swap and definately keep the ea81t just for originality sake.I think it will have alot better power delivery/driveability after the manual swap and you do rear disks on it,as others just stated.
  10. Dang thats too bad! I thought for sure he had it all figured out.Is it his cooling fan?I know he just put in a new radiator.
  11. Thanks Mick!I thought it may have been a 10.That is a really nice looking socket.
  12. I am currently in the process of swapping a 3.7 lsd over to 3.9.The only thing stopping me so far is the torx head inside of the axle stubs.I would like to see if anyone can let me know what size it takes?I know it is definately a torx socket, just a little far reach for the ones I have so I need to also find out who carries a long torx socket that will fit?Any help would be great at this point .Also I checked the USRM guide and couldn't find what I was looking for in that particular area. Thanks for the help.
  13. I really like that car!Looks like your dog had fun helping you inspect the inside as well.
  14. Ya sorry I couldn't make it.I wish I could but had to work.We definately need to set something up for the old skool' guys and gals around the area.Seems kinda hard for us all to congregate at once.Better luck next time.
  15. That will be one nice car when you are done!It looks like you took the time to do a good job masking everything off.
  16. Good job!Did you do the job by yourself?I know that would be kinda tough especially on the front of the car if it is only you doing the work.
  17. That is just beautiful! You could start an old subie museum at the rate you are going with the awsome ones that you have found!Keep it up man!
  18. I am going for spfi for you Rick.May cost you just as much as getting a weber set up.
  19. Pull the dip stick on the tranny and makes sure it has fluid.Probly is a bit low and will need to be topped off. After that I am sure it couldn't hurt to drain the old stuff and put in new.I am not sure what your car will take so have a look in the owners manual.Good luck
  20. Well guess if all of that doesn't work, you could build a high comp ea82t or just go with the ej22t swap which would be so nice in that car!
  21. Don't think you will need a lift to put in the A/T.I think the two pedal clusters are different so you will have to do a little switch er roo.If I think of something else I will post it.
  22. There are a few people on here that have done the 5sp d/r swap.I believe you will need to build some mounting brackes,or I know that there is a guy on here who makes a kit to do it.Lots of good info on here for what you are trying to do.Good luck.
  23. I am pretty sure that I will be at the meet.It is at the same spot right? See ya there.
  24. Very nice.Sounds like you got some cool stuff on that one!I would love to see it.
