  1. Sad to see a Rx turbo go.Glad you got some good use out of it.Hope you find another one.
  2. Your engine on that car is a EA82.I am pretty sure the brake parts from a loyale should work as well. You will need a tool to turn in those caliper pistons though. They don't push right in you have to turn them.Good luck.
  3. Glad you got that one Tom.Good parts cars are alway nice to have.
  4. My choice is the ea81.Bullet proof.Easy to get parts for from the JY.Super easy and simple to pull apart.Very little trouble with operation.Very strong.Good torque.Easy to modify and get extra power out of them.Very lightweight. And reliable.I could go on and on.
  5. I had a carter/weber before and had the same problem.Loctite seemed to solve the problem.
  6. That's some good info keep us posted on your project.
  7. I thought the meet was great.I am glad I got to meet quite a few of you from the board.I had lots of fun seeing the old school cars.I got kinda tired of seeing all of the wrx's and evo's(never thought I would say I got tired of seeing wrx's).Nice dusty drift session too! And Jeffs streetsweeper/XT6 was there too!Just kidding Jeff.
  8. Is there a phantom lsd or something similar available for the 4spd d/r? I have seen some posts about ones for the 5spd d/r,but want one for 4spd. Anyone know of where to get one or how much they cost?Let me know. I know I could always lincoln lock the front.J/K.
  9. Put some seafoam in a small cup or can(not styrofoam) and suck it through the brake booster line coming from the brake booster.Works good and tons of fun white smoke!
  10. I like the lights.Nothing wrong with adding some extras.I too have used walmart lights with good results.Looks really good.
  11. I for one really like the styling of the '05 GT.I think they look really nice.I can't say much as far as problems people have faced with that car.I don't know anyone that owns one personally, but I see alot of them driving around.
  12. I second that on using a ea81.Very tough. And that is what you will need to keep going.I think that the ea81 will make plenty of power for the brat. Also when you are flying though the air or through a woooppp section you will need to be well balanced.
  13. Thats really cool Mick.I like that alot.I may have to get one of those.
  14. I am not too sure where to get high flow heads that are at a reasonable price.Myself like a few others decide to port the heads to help with flow.
  15. I will at least bring some soda and chips or something like that.Ya I will definately be there.I will see if my rc subaru can carry me that far!
  16. I always wondered when someone would grab a motor out of a B9.Crazy power to be had their I am sure. What size engine is in the B9?
  17. Also some of the late 80's early 90's Mitsu montero's had them as well.
  18. I put my bet on the brat! For one those brats are tough.Secondly I hate those eagles.Everyone I have helped work on is a pile. Please post some pics if you can.Go brat go!
  19. I had this same thing happen to me with a hatch I used to own.I used 2 cans of seafoam(same thing as b-12) to about a 1/4 of tank of fuel.Drove it around really hard for a while and then took the cover off of the aircleaner and reved her to about 3grand and poured some water down the carb and let her steam out really good. After that it passed with flying colors.Did have a cat though.
  20. Ya it sure will.I have done this on an old hatch I used to own.
  21. Thats great that you got your hatch lifted.I am looking forward to seeing it at the meet.
  22. Worn out bushing?Trans mount? I guess the best possible thing to do is get it in the air and wiggle stuff till you find out what is loose.
  23. Welcome. That is a really nice tube chassis you have there. How big are those tires?Looks really good!
  24. Did you contact CCR?They may have a good lead to some rings for ya.Not sure if you already contacted them.Their # 303-293-9230.
  25. The computers on the ea81 chassis vehicles are pretty simple and not really too much of a so called computer. They are more of an idiot box to tell you if a sensor needs to be replaced. There are a couple members on here that have removed the "black box" completely. So think of the black computer box as more of a diagnostics box in my mind.
