  1. Don't let him fool ya,he won't be gone long.He may just come across a justy or something. "Yes Rick I forsee in your future a nice little car in very bad need of a turbo!" Just kidding.
  2. I like it.Also like said before I would also like to see what type of adapter plate they made for that swap.
  3. If I wasn't already doin' monkey mechin' I would be up for it.From what you have told me it sounds like a good place to work.
  4. Ask Suby Gal at Chap' . I bet they have some for a good price.
  5. It may offset your coefficient of friction with the lugnuts being out in the open air. No I am just kidding!Nothing will be affected what so ever.
  6. Those seats definately look like they belong there.I like it.A little extra side support always helps.
  7. Ya I really like that thing.Someone posted it a while back.I like the fact that the beastly sexy engine is exposed up front.
  8. I wish I were closer to where you live.I have 1 weber that needs to be rejetted.I have it taken apart and awaiting a rebuild kit and jets. You ought to swing up to denver sometime.Lots of people here that I am sure could help you out.I may be able to come down that way if you need something though.
  9. One thing I would suggest checking first is your plug wires, then your coilpack.I had a similar problem on a car I had when it would rain. Here's what I did to diagnose it:On a dry night go spray the spark plug wires and coil pack with water in a spray bottle.See if you can duplicate the symptoms.I did this and I could see arcing from the wires.I replaced the wires and all was well again.Hope that helps you some.Good luck.
  10. There is a 1991 silver svx at colorado auto salvage.Engine is there but someone already grabbed the trans.Car has 135k on it.Engine looks good.Black leather interior.Car was t-boned on the drivers side rear.Has some good body pannels left.Let me know if someone needs me to pull something.
  11. I would be up for helping. The only thing is I don't have any experience with ea82 MPFI vehicles.I am sure there is something I could help with.
  12. That would be great if you could scope it out.You are closer to it than I am.Just curious for 75Subie to see what the body looks like all around.
  13. I am guessing that the fuel smell is probly in the seat or on the floor from whatever mechanic worked on your car.Doesn't take much stuff on their clothes to make to whole car smell for a while. Most likely they had spilled something on their boots or on their clothes and the smell got into the upolstry while they were driving it.I think it will go away after a while.
  14. Do you have your radio on at the time?Could be a bad ground or loose ground if it is.
  15. Thats really cool.Nice easy car to work on.I agree those engines do run quiet.
  16. Ya tune up.I would second the guess on the FPR.Check and clean the egr, pcv, also clean the injectors(may be sticking)cap&rotor, plug wires. Definately those fuel filters.
  17. Check out redline for the adapter plate.Or ebay. For the coil I would recomend the Msd blaster2.Gives you a hotter spark.
  18. Maybe some silicone spray.Get it good and lubed and wipe off the excess.Maybe also put some duct tape around it to guard it?
  19. That would be a cool car to restore!Someone on ebay had a new set of 1400 pistons.Good luck
  20. Is it your cooling system gurgling letting out bubbles? Maybe that it isn't bled properly. Not sure if that is even related to the noise you hear.
  21. I would really love to lend a hand but I am here in colorado.I will be there in spirit though.
  22. Check your grounding wires.Possible bad ground.I know there are some other things possible I am not too familiar with Legacy's.
