I had alot of fun helping with the lift.Wish I would have brought the electric impact the first day though. Looks really beefy to me.I think the kit was really nice and it sits nice and level now.I just worry about that camber though. With the stock tires on it now,it looks like a long travel baja buggy.

Actually we both looked at both upper strut blocks and we looked really hard at each one for any differences and to see if there were any marks on them like it says in the install instructions. No marks at all.We looked at them from different angles for about 20 minutes.Rick looked at what direction they should go and we put them on.

Really hard starting when cold?? UPDATE
Jerry DeMoss replied to peskyjiggler's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Seems like a few others that have had a problem with similar symptoms as yours have had to replace the coolant temp sensors.Others that have delt with this directly can tell you the specifics. -
Yes his are 1 piece.I just went and looked at his lift kit.

Now I need to get your pugs dismounted for you.Let me know when you have time and the tire shop said they will do it for me for free. Then we can clean them up and get them ready for your new walterrains.

I know its kinda sad but I owned a 94 escort wagon just like that.Same color and everything. -
I am very interested as well. Can you imagine a small turbocharged rally car! would be so much fun. This has been something on my "it would be fun to do" list for a while now.I as well would love to strip one and turbo it.I would like to see what you had to do to mount the turbo and also what kind of boost will you be running?

Cable is out of adjustment most likely.I never worked on a loyale so I don't want to give you the wrong info as to how to adjust it.

Through the OBDII port.usually is a little black connector looking thing.May have a cap over it.Need to have a code reader though.See if you could take it to a shop and have them scan it for you. Some may do it for free.

converting FWD to 4WD??
Jerry DeMoss replied to 75subie's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I have looked at doing this before as well.I have heard that it is really kind of tough to do.I don't have much to say about it cause I havn't had the experience with it. -
I think it's a good idea for the roll cage. The only thing is if you want to compete in a rally competition you will need to check the rules as to the wall thickness of the tubing and the diameter and the grade steel that you will need to use.

I would recomend just putting a msd blaster coil in there.Better spark and cheaper than stock.Usually cost around $50.I am not sure about your resistor question though.

Project Cheap:Build Lifted 86' GL Sedan Advice + Build
Jerry DeMoss replied to DrKrazy's topic in Members Rides
I will definately let you know how it goes with the hatch.I really want to see PC sometime.I was wondering what could make your oil pump crap out like that? Seems fine one minute and then pow TOD! Was the oil pressure really high or really low before it started TOD?Good luck. -
I would like to know if someone knows how important that little runner is on the intake side of the ea81 and ea82 heads.I have taken that out when porting a ea81 engine that I had in a hatch I used to own, and it ran like a monster.I just wondered how much that would decrease my port efficiency if at all.I just thought I would see if anyone has experience with that. Also I have no way of testing it as I don't have a flow bench to test it on.But my overall thought is that the effiency shouldn't be hurt that much as there is a great increase in volume of air with making the ports larger.Someone let me know what you think. Thanks for reading my post.
