Snowmobilers in Washington?
Jerry DeMoss replied to All_talk's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
Sweet! I like old school stuff too,but have had quite a bit of newer ones though. The first machine I modified was a 1980 Kawasaki Drifter 340cc F/A.Ported both cylinders and shaved the heads a bit.Was alot of fun for such a small machine. I really want an old rotary/wankel sled. That one that you have in the works sound really cool. Not too many around. -

A sad day for me and my Leone (pics)

Do you have to do anything else to get it rally ready?Like put in a roll cage or fire ext.,or strip interior? What class do you compete in?Also rally action shots would be great. -

That was one nice leone! I really like the legacy.I hear those legs are very stable when sideways. That would be lots of fun! -

If there is anyway possible you could jack it up on a lift and pressure wash the under side that would be a good start to tell where it's coming from. -
I would love to know where to get the stuff to do the conversion.I would love to do this to an old sube and possibly my jetta.

I have seen alot of people use subies for this sort of thing especially in places where there is alot of snow. When I was growing up in Alaska there were quite a bit of people on the mail route and paper route that used good ol' subes for this. Especially places where a plow may not have gone to yet.

Thats a really cool idea. The telescoping drive shaft would be cool.Wonder how hard it would be to put a suby engine in a sammy?May not be worth it though.

80's rice front spoiler?
Jerry DeMoss replied to hatchsub's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Ya it's old skool but still cool.I wouldn't mind getting one if I built a hatch rally car. -
I like the rx but that would be my choice.I have heard that the xt6 is great.I think they are just a little harder to find parts for.If you don't choose the rx let me know I think my brother may be interested. He is in anchor town right now.

Ya those filters needed changing. They look like coffee went through them.Well I imagine those were original so that is to be expected.Your trailing arm got sent out yesterday so hopefully you will see it wednesday.I really think that brat is beautiful and even more so when it gets done.I think white powdercoated aluminum pugs and a white roll bar and push bumper on it would look great.Keep the pictures coming.

Nice job Rick and Jeff.I am glad you got a pic of your grabber green diff.Your brat looks awsome in those pics.Still need to get you some RX springs for up front.Nice pics.

Man I really love the pics of your motor. How much boost you planning on cranking into it after its broken in?Looks like it will run like a top.I am currently getting parts for my ea81 motor I a piecing together.Gives me some inspiration.I am also curious to see what type of special socket you are refering to. -
I got your trailing arm today.Do you want me to leave the stub axle in the trailing arm? I got some help from Turboxt and Jeffast.I will send it to you on monday. -Jerry
