  1. It is kinda like the white stuff that appears on the battery terminals. A little de lectric grease would solve that problem. That is where I would start.
  2. Who cares really?! Old subes have more character and personality.
  3. Looks like a pretty clean build and install. Good job. 4.11 would be really nice.
  4. I would say valve stem seals before the rings. They may be a little dried up but the rings may be a little gummed up too. You might want to try a little motor flush though it like seafoam and then see if that helps. Don't know but it is worth a try.
  5. You will most likely need an aditional extension with a swivel(universal) attached to it. They are a bit tricky.
  6. No they are sequential like on any other tt setup. Like in a tt supra or tt rx7 . Until a certain amount of boost is attained in the first turbo it will not let the second tubo see much exhaust gasses at all . That is why it is called sequentail because they are in sequence.
  7. Looks good to me. Does pretty much the same thing as the one on the left.
  8. Higher compression ratio is yeilds higher temps inside the combustion chamber by decreasing the "squish area" inside dome to piston interface area. Therefor requiring the higher octane/high test stuff because it has a higher flash point. The lower octane like 85 or 87 would predetonate before the piston reached top dead center on a higher compression engine. I hope that makes some sense.
  9. Some better dp's will help with a little bit of lag aiding in the spool time of the turbo or a better air inlet for both the turbos as well. That engine was never offered over here in the states but I have a few engine bits from that dual turbo engine. Also you may want to try upping the boost a little on the first turbo and maybe that would help it pull a little harder till the second turbo kicks in?
  10. Very cool! That is half the fun in looking around to see what you find. Good find.
  11. You are better off getting a ej22turbo block and puting wrx heads on it. Also what are you doing in the north pole with a turbo subie? I grew up in Soldotna/Kenai peninsula and I haven't seen many people going that route.
  12. Search grimmspeeds website. You will find the gaskets you are looking for that are quite thick. http://www.grimmspeed.com/
  13. Very cool looking wagon. The hammered finish on your rims is nice. I used that same paint on my old rusty roll around toolbox I have in my garage after some minor sanding and prep work. I have had the toolbox painted that way for over a year and it takes abuse very well.
  14. I would go for it. Drive it around for a day or two under normal load and then drain it and fill it up with some fresh gear oil. I think it would only do good stuff for your trans.
  15. There are quite a few plugs on many different subarus that are not used. Don't bother looking for a place to plug them in cause there probly isn't a spot.
  16. It probably would be wise to rotate the center section of the turbo down some to let the oil return flow a little better. Less chance for oil coking after a hot run also if you don't let it cool down.
  17. Looking really nice! Looks kinda cool with the back raised up like that.
  18. Damn man at first I thought you had a usdm wrx or sti type car. That is friggin impressive. I bet it pulls really hard above 3,500rpm.
  19. That is pretty good mud! Very sticky stuff. I will have to get ahold of you once my justy is up and going and we can go down atv trails.
  20. That same brat is on the boulder craigslist. I forgot his name and I know for sure he isn't on usmb.
