Wow.. nice Job Gregg! It's been a long time since I have talked to you. I recall you telling me you purchasing this, but never had the chance to see it. I read all 9 pages and up to date finally. Looks awesome and congrats. Great job on write-up. Can't wait to see it in person. I return from Australia February 20th for my 3 weeks off so I will HAVE TO drive down there to come visit you and Carston once again. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Years. Will catch up with you sometime soon.

Nooo.. not another one stuck Ken giving some rear weight for Eric Ken running to tell the waiting vehicles of the situation After waiting patiently for an opening of the one way path, Gregg and I had to drive back down in order to make it on time for his family dinner on the Oregon Coast. We ended up nearly being 1 hour behind schedule. We kept on running into vehicles on our way down that didn’t have a clue of what to do in the snowing conditions. Some were on their street tires and others without any tow rope/equipment. Scoobyclimbs began by towing out the Ford Explorer that was with us. On our way with the Ford Explorer, we ran into a Silver Chevy 4 door pickup. The gentleman seemed to be stuck. We hooked the tow strap and pulled the guy out of the deep snow. While he was backing up, us in front of the Explorer, we ran into another vehicle. This time it was a 4 door Red Dodge Ram Pickup. By testing the snow depth beside the trucks, Gregg determined it be best to drive aside of both of the trucks and pull Dodge from the rear. By doing this, we would also be 2 cars ahead of schedule and possibly get to the Oregon Coast on time that afternoon. We managed to get through the both of the trucks and WOW would you have to be their to seem the expressions on the spectators faces when the Outback plowed through the snow to the side of them. The Dodge was running chains in the rear and seemed to think that was right. When we were packing up for the next victim, we overheard someone saying to another “I need to go and by a Subaru now.” Scoobyclimbs pulling out the Dodge Another shot of pulling the abandoned Dodge pickup and awaiting for the fore coming vehicle to back down. After getting by the fore coming vehicle, we were stopped by our last vehicle, a silver grand Cherokee. We crawled around it and pulled the vehicle about 40 yards where there was a turn around spot. (the spot where we lowered our tire pressure) All in all, we pulled out 4 vehicles. Everyone seemed to be very thankful about the whole situation and also seemed amazed of what a Subaru can really do. We did make it down the mountain okay. I’m guessing that a lot of you went through the same pain as we did? Cactus at Taco Time And Cartsten on the drive down to Olympia Hope to see some of the guys that couldn’t make it at the next Christmas Run! Bryan

Just prior to climbing the hard parts Really like this picture The fork is where chaos begun! We were literally at this position for 1-2 hours. We left before anyone moved their positions, so I’m not sure how long you guys were up there. One after another kept getting stuck in the snow. At the “Summit” Noah’s suby The Shucks guy Can’t recall who this was Hatch Patrol at his best

December 2, 2006 – Enumclaw, Washington It all started at around 4:30am, Saturday morning. I had to be at exit 290 near Bed Bath & Beyond in Tigard, Oregon at 6:00am. Arriving about 20 minutes late, I had my stuff loaded in Scoobyclimbs (outbackwbeer) Gregg’s 2003 Mystic Blue Wagon Outback with his son Cartsten. Due to my low funds in money, I carpooled with him to the Christmas Tree Run on Mt. Rainier and later that day was dropped off in Tacoma and picked up by my good friend Ananda from Eugene. To get on with this story, we arrived on time at the McDonalds in Enumclaw at 9:30am. We checked out each other’s cars especially Hantz’s (sp) new 88’? Turbo Brat. I’ll have to admit it was real fun riding in the back seat while taking video/pictures. Few others arrived in the McDs parking lot including: Zapar (Eric with the Toyota and 96 OBS) Eric’s neighbor Hanz in his Brat, Craig (GLCraigGT ) Noah (NoahDL88) Amanda (06 Outback) Ken (Qman in Todd’s car) And a few others that ended up on the mountain… Carsten and the Brat Hanz and forgot your name Gregg and the others The Outback Awww..

Well, I took the last hour starting from page 1 through page 17 seeing exactly how many of you guys seem to have interest in going to this years WCSS8. Do we want more Subarus or keep it to the minimum to avoid it being too crowded? In the mean time, if I do invite anyone, I will let them know it's a family oriented event and there will be no excuse for inappropriate behavior/reckless driving/ drinking except in the beer garden. Also, Outbackwbeer was planning on the route for the drive, one of you guys putting on the mud pit, and Paul Eklund putting on a rallyx. If you guys really want more people out there, the Rallyx would be a great way for a bigger turnout. Or.. .We could just drop the whole thing of the rallyx and just keep it show, but I don't think everything wants to go there for just showing off there car. The whole presence of being with your family is enjoyable too. Anyways just my thoughts and I'm right there with Eric, Corky, Ken on helping you out that weekend. The day before i'll just be arriving from Rally Finland so it will be quite the week! Bryan (360) 920-9698

List Updated on front page! 7-4-06 5 more days to go! FRS radio channel 2^5. Here is part of the “Itinerary” for the day. THE REGROUPMENT ON SHOULDER AND an 11.7 MILE DRIVE TO TOP OF CHINOOK PASS As we arrive before Crystal Mountain BLVD, we will line up on the shoulder and wait for the others. As soon as last car arrives, we will drive an 11.7 mile stretch to the top of Chinook Pass. We will have photographers in front of us positioned at different points of the 11.7 mile stretch towards the top. Please keep distances between cars as close as possible without compromising safety, so there won’t be excessive gaps. AS WE NEAR THE TOP OF CHINOOK PASS, WE WILL TURN AROUND AND HEAD DOWN TO CRYSTAL MOUNTAIN SKI AREA FOR A GROUP PHOTOSHOOT WITHIN 1 HOUR FROM WHEN WE ARRIVE AT THE TOP OF CHINOOK PASS. ATTENTION: There will not be enough parking spots at the top of Chinook Pass. In order for us to regroup for a photo shoot, we will drive back down west from where we came from and turn right onto Crystal Mountain Blvd. Continue on that road for about +-4.0 miles until you see a parking lot where we will park in an orderly fashion and take a group photograph. Make sure to head straight towards Crystal Mountain Blvd. after you reached the top of Chinook Pass within 1 hour. This way we don’t have to extensively wait for anyone. DRIVE FROM CRYSTAL MOUNTAIN SKI AREA TO MAZATLAN MEXICAN RESTAURANT. (33 MILES FROM CRYSTAL MOUNTAIN SKI AREA TO ENUMCLAW) From the ski resort, we will drive directly to Mazatlan Restaurant at 951 Roosevelt Ave. S.E. Enumclaw, WA 98022. The drive from Crystal Mountain Ski Resort to Mazatlan Restaurant is 33.0 miles and the Restaurant will be on your right hand side when you enter Enumclaw. Mazatlan Restaurant Number: (360) 825-3544 if needed. I made sure to call the restaurant in advance for them to expect a larger than normal crowd. Don’t be surprised that the restaurant will be full already. WARNING! There will be no excuse for any reckless driving, passing on blind corners/solid lines, speeding, or anything of that nature. You will not be invited to any future meets if driving behavior like this exists. I'd like to keep this drive under control without any young/old immature drivers please. Last thing I would want to see is one of us wrecking our cars and ruining the day for all of us. Just a couple rules: #1 NO excessive speeding/reckless driving/passing on solid lines #2 DON'T be an idiot. If you can follow those two rules, there shouldn't be a problem. THERE WILL BE PLENTY OF POLICE OFFICERS AROUND AND THIS IS NOT THE TIME TO SHOW OFF!
