I had 215/65/16 Nokian RSIs for winter tires on WRX wheels. These were on a 95 legacy wagon on outback struts. The tires rubbed a little at full lock, and the speedometer was off by about 5mph at 60 mph, but other than that there were no problems.
  2. Did you drive it back like that? It seems like you can't see anything out of more than half of the windshield.
  3. Thanks for posting those videos, those guys must be nuts. Who in their right mind would drive into a lake?
  4. Here are a couple of my Legacy on Outback struts:
  5. I am probobly going since I am planning to be in the Seattle area about that time.
  6. 1995 Legacy. Just used Outback struts, and got an alignment, didn't lower the engine.
  7. This person on nasioc did just that, wrx struts in an outback. Here is the link: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=5328494#post5328494
  8. The link doesn't work. Any more info on this would be appreciated.
  9. I haven't seen much info on the 2000-2004 Legacy being lifted, but there is one thread on NASIOC. The person just lifted the rear since it was botoming out due to a trunkfull of books. It looks like he got about 1.5" from the spring strut combo from the Outback. Here is the link: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=900623
  10. Bump to the top, just in case someone hasn't seen the thread yet.
  11. Also check out tirerack.com they have customer service, and low prices.
  12. The 2.2 was available on the 95 Outback in both auto and manual. Although the 95 Outback was the same as a Legacy just had a few cosmetic differences. The 96, first model year of a "real" Outback had a 2.2 on the 5 spd and 2.5 on the auto, starting in 97 it was all 2.5 engines. Go to http://www.cars101.com/ to get more info. You can find almost any stat on Subarus there.
  13. Welcome. Check out the thread on the upcoming Montana meet http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=45593.
  14. The 31st sounds great. I'll be there.
  15. Those are great photos, looks like you had lots of fun. I am just wondering what kept the Forester from getting stuck, while the big trucks seemed to have trouble. The trucks, with more ground clearance, and bigger tires should have had an advantage. Was this just driver experience, or is there more to it? Also what tires are you on?
