  1. Yes. I will check on the inner door handle covers... I know the steering wheel is good. -Daniel
  2. Ok, got frame almost mounted... Its a T shaped frame made from 2x2x.25" structural tubing about 6 pounds a LF. Mounted at the Rear of the Brat to the Trailer hitch mount points with two 12MM stainless bolts. Mounting at the front to the Front heavy cross member that the differential mounts to. I just have it temp u-bolted so I can drill the angle mount for the front attachment. Should be a good setup... Going to have to stiffen the shocks a lot though... maybe dual shocks???? I am shooting for a 150LB TW empty as when it is loaded, it will actually tend with a lot of loads to lessen the TW by a few pounds... -Daniel Pics:
  3. ya.... This one would have taken a lot of work to make it legal...... and no body can blame Southerners for destroying Subaru's..... There isn't many down here of Gen 1, I have seen three others in like three years... (Doesn't count Todd's Excellent Subaru's) I am picking up my frame tonight... Going to paint tonight, and then bolt it up tomorrow if i get time. -Daniel
  4. Ya the brat is all rusted... (Was not a Texas brat like mine...) the floor board was almost completely gone... also the fuel system, brake lines, all the glass, tail lights and everyhitng was busted from vandals... but got lots of good parts of of it. I am going to save the front fender, front suspension and the engine / transmission, also had a good differential i got out of it. Ya i should have my frame tomorrow. Hopefully will be able to bolt up... I have the drawing for the frame if anyone needs it... hopefully it will pull ok and its not a waste of time.:-\ -Daniel
  5. I just cut my parts brat in Half... making a trailer... Anyone have any experience doing this? I only found one picture on the web and it was a gen II -Daniel FUn pictures: http://img443.imageshack.us/g/dscf3050.jpg/
  6. Man, That is sooo funny... Dang... the Brat looks so small next to all the large American cars and trucks... I can just about drive my brat up on the tail gate of my Nissan frontier... -Daniel
  7. OK, Hopefully I can find a Monroe Load leveler shock that will fit... That would be great for the rear. Oh Also, if anyone finds one that fits please post! -Daniel
  8. Bill, Got a question... What do we do for lengthening the Rear shock? Thanks. -Daniel
  9. Bill, I think they will be fine like they are now. With the length of trans mount and the way it's installed, I don't see where it could go. Also, the web thickness of the tubes you used... That would be very hard to roll or flatten that tube. Why add the extra weight? -Daniel
  10. Bill, Also One quick question. Does this setup increase the angle of the CV Joints any? Or is this just a strait lift? Thanks. Damn this is awesome... -Daniel
  11. Bill, That is very well done! Can't wait till they are finished. I can pay with paypal after the 18th... -Daniel
  12. Damn, the 5 speeds are so much better. In my 80 Brat 4 speed its 3500 (give or take) for 55 MPH and 3900 for 60 or so. I dont ever go past about 62 or 63 as I am really leaning into the throttle, but I can get pretty good gas mileage at 55. I took my Engine up to 5,100 RPMs in second gear after I installed my tach... it likes to crap out at around 4,400, I figure the valves are probably floating at 5,000 as my engine is pretty old... -Daniel
  13. Also, This would make a good window sticker... like a round one... -Daniel
  14. This is Great! Make sure you get a couple of XXL's I will want to buy One XXL and One XL. and maybe a Baby/ toddler size if you get any... -Daniel
  15. Hey be sure you post your progress on the drawing... This is gona be a very nice shirt... -Daniel
  16. That sounds cool, could flat tow the Brat up with the Forester... Is that 5 am or pm... Also, what Subaru's do you own? My Family has a few subies: 2009 Forester, 2002 Outback, 1980 Brat... -Daniel
