WRX got some attention, replaced discharge hose on the A/C. Best to pull out the overflow tank but everything else was easy. Used a vacuum pump, hoping to pull a little moisture out but, disappointed it wouldn't get below about 18-20. So, I may be wrong about the hose being bad (previous use of UV dye sorta hinted at it.) I'll know in a few weeks if that was it - took about 5=6 weeks to leak out last time. Maybe something with my manifold rig was leaking a little under vacuum. Need to do an oil change and install outside temp sensor (at last). want to drive to CoSpgs. The car needs other attention but, nothing that probably can't wait.

The ECU gets a variable signal from it based on throttle (gas pedal) position. That allows the ECU to adjust the flow of fuel thru the injectors - possibly also passing info to the transmission control unit for proper gear selection. others here can give you more details (and will correct my statement if I got it confused lol)

I got pulled over with my family members in a rented van coming back from a cruise - could be anything that triggers it I guess. They probably saw the van low on its suspension...? My snake-keeping friend goes to Big Bend/Chisos Mts. every year or 2. He gets pulled over and 'sniffed' half the time. Take some paperwork with you indicating what's going on with the 1079. I suggest dead tree, not just a pdf on a phone. Just to cover the bases. A lot of small towns on secondary roads will be speed traps, just try to observe the decreasing limits when you approach, and DO NOT just floor it leaving town either. Some of them could be down to 25mph in town, and maybe less if there's a school zone. It's a major revenue source. A few decades ago, Texas had to pass a law that no township could receive more than 25% or w'ever of there $$$ from traffic violations lol! West Texas is the most insane part of the State. A lot of 'burn-outs' and anti-social types seek out the solitude of that area.

Limited slip front?

I've seen a front LSD on ebay I think, dunno about fitment or quality.... -
I dunno if it's worth the effort, but you might contact SOA. A regional rep might be able to do some kind of 'goodwill' compensation. 1/2 the cost ot pay for the labor if you pay for parts, etc. Dealerships 'generally' have no incentive or authority to do that kind of thing. Just seems like an oddly rapid failure of what is generally a robust part of a car - unless there's evidence of tampering/damage...?

next morning, maybe a helper could 'pace' the car to determine if the noise is central (maybe diff mounts?) or on one side (brake or suspension?) do you set the parking brake? many parts could be suspect on a 21 year old car.
