  1. You are counted! I think it looks like we will be having an all day cook out. So far it looks like we need allot of chips and snack type foods. If you are interested in a good deal on some 30x12 swampers for your BRAT I just happen to have some. I have a set of seats as well, but I just can't bring myself to get rid of them although I cannot use them.
  2. Alright, last min. details. They will point you to the club area when you reach the gate. Go to gate three. I will rent and set up a table for eats and another for the videos/nametags and such. More tables are available for rent if you choose and there is pleanty of room at the tent for them. LeakingOil has produced some quality nametags with club name and real name. Park anywhere in the line you like but some people have asked to park next to specific people so try to accomodate if asked. If you are planning to go with the VA convoy on Friday, please let me know. So far it is three people and we will be gone at noon.
  3. Between EA81 and EA82 I would stick with the EA81 because it is a much more rugged and reliable engine, the difference in HP is easily made up for not much money.
  4. Any EA81 D/R non turbo 4spd will bolt right in. The 82 has better gearing (in my opinion) but of course locating that specific year will be harder than getting just any year.
  5. The only one that comes close to working is this one by Thomas Knight: It has three very high current motors that depete a large heavy pack in a VERy short time. It costs more than an actual belt driven supercharger and of course has maintenance and recharge concerns. But this shows just what is involved with gaining very short duration low boost. No piece of s$** plastic fart fan for a boat bathroom is going to do that.
  6. Start selling these $30 fans on ebay for $200 and you can buy more Subes!
  7. Can someone who is coming early on Friday or early Sat pledge to bring an inverter to run a 13 inch TV and VCR to display the subaru tapes? I have everything but the inverter on hand.
  8. That is a FRAUD, it is a ventalation blower that cannot and will not ever ever provide boost. The same item can be had for less than $30 at a boating or equipment supply store. This topic pops up from time to time and it is absolute crap, yet some always try to defend a product they have never owned or used because they want it to be true. Please ignore these fools and keep your money in your pocket, or better yet, on a real modification. For that same cash you could get a free flowing muffler and a K&N to help it breathe a bit better.
  9. Shipping for me was $70 if I recall, you can always call them and get a quote. There prices aren't etched in stone either from the impression that I get. They discounted me $10 a tire because I had ordered from the recently and the first time I ordered they made a counter offer when I mentioned a local price, so it might be worth a try to negotiate. Ditto on the US wheels, I am running a set of 15x10 6 lug with Toyota offset and pattern. They are tough as can be and resemble the stock Subaru white spokes.
  10. A great tire! Those are the guys I order from.
  11. If it went out Friday, I would get it Monday and that would allow me to make a run to get a matching size flag and figure our the eyelet spacing. Like I said, I will cover whatever it costs to ship priority. My mailing address is: PO Box 752 Remington VA 22734
  12. There are some good aftermarket ones to be had, but most are crap. I am a big fan of the failsafe ones that lock open if anything goes wrong.
  13. Unfortunatly that gives me no time to come up with a mount or matching size US flag, oh well, it would have been nice.
  14. It depends on resources. I have seen people with access to a shop and equipment do thousands of dollars of custom work for a few bucks at most.
  15. This travesty was concieved and executed by utter and complete rump roast-hats who are smearing their filth all over a fine car. That unreliable brand that is so visually displeasing that I want to tear out my eyes and batter them in powdered chlorine after looking at one. And further, the blue ribbon of breakdowns and failures will be pinned on the piss poor makeover conducted by the Tammy Fae Baker of the automotive engineering set. Their interior makeover also gives one all the tactile pleasures of handeling a used Coney Island whitefish. The whole concept is as corrupt as recieving the french arts from Bea Arthur, yes the core performance may be there but the package is so deformed you cannot possibly enjoy it. Like a Cuban cigar smuggled in the the most notrorious of body cavities there is no way to savor the inner flavor without being overwhelmed by the tainted packaging.
  16. I PMed you, this can be dealt with easily. ALSO, Carlisle is next week! I know that I am clearing up a few last min. details myself and I still need to get some road time to shake everything out. If I hadn't been down in MS this last week I would be done now. Still I am going to be done by this Sat. and I can get some shakedown testing and final fixes done on Sunday and Monday. I see a few others are still finishing up as well. I do need to finalize a few things though. Who all is (still) planning on leaving from my place on Friday?
  17. The more BRATs the better says I. Also, I have 4 30x12 swampers for sale, 2400 miles, about $450 new, I will sell for $300ish. If someone going to the event wants some big tires for cheap, let me know and I will bring them. Tread depth is at least 95% of stock. Also have paint, paint gun, hardner, thinner, and some misc stuff; enough to do a car in an electric blue very similar to mine. $75 for everything.
  18. Showfield Registration Office Friday: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday: 7 a.m. to 5p.m. Sunday: 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Gate Three is open 24 hours a day to those registered on the showfield.
  19. I buy retread capmaterial all the time for my street luge shoes. Just go to a retread place and get some. It is pretty much a flat strip of tread and comes in different widths.
  20. Officially, to prevent icing of the throttle body, in secret, to provide an oppertunity to sell a 4 inch hose for $65.
  21. In a general sense, without looking at it, I wold probably say it is not necessary. But what are your goals, to keep it a few more years and prolong life or to keep it forever? If you want to keep it, cut and weld, if you want to prolong, treat it as you can. That said, POR15 is a wonderful product and works great as a permanent fix where the metal is still sound.
