  1. You ought to get pull the engine, lights, trim etc. and go get the entire thing sprayed in bedliner. It would look great and no rust ever.
  2. With the current pads, proportioning valve and line pressures I can lock the 30s up and put the harnesses to use. With the 33s I am expecting to loose some braking power and I am looking for a way to raise my line pressure to compensate. It is guesswork that the EJ series may deliver more line pressure. I don't feel like canabalizing my Impreza's unit so I will go pull one from an EJ series car. I just wanted to check first to see if anyone else had tried.
  3. What I did was "divide" my 10x30 plot into 3 10x10 spaces. Two of them are taken, one is not. If you feel you can park in a 10x10 space then it is yours for the asking.
  4. For registration and details on how to make sure it counts toward the total go to: http://www.subarubrat.com/carslile.htm We reached halfway then slammed to a halt, we need YOU!
  5. Has anyone ever installed a newer gen brake booster and master cyl into an EA81 series vehicle?
  6. Exactly as above. The ultimate ride height fix is a 4/3 lift kit. Under $400 and done in a weekend.
  7. It is reasonable to assume that anywhere it is exposed to combustion gasses it will form a glass patch. So it would depend on the nature of the crack, in an intake valve passage it would do nothing, but for an exhaust or intervalve crack it may very well work.
  8. That beast is perfect for a supertrapp with about a 16 disk pack on it. That will give you some real sound when you get on it. Summit Racing has them.
  9. The substance is sodium silicate. The compound flows into the leak on the head and when the combustion gases are present it is glazed into a very thin layer of silica glass. This repeats over and over until the glass layers build up to seal the leak. As the glass patch wears or fails fresh glass is layed down.
  10. You have some options there. First off, assuming that people get registered and that we have a club area... The camping spots are 30x10 and intended for motorhomes or tent camping. I intend on leaving the truck in the show field and then setting up camp in the camping area near the showers and facilities. I am sharing my camp plot with three other people since it is so large. I am sure you could just drive down and park in the camp plots area.
  11. Meeky snagged free camping spot #1, spot #2 is still up for grabs.
  12. Registrations have slammed to a halt, we are just a hair over half way and if we don't make it we won't be in a group and we won't have any great east coast meet to discuss. And again, only those registered before the deadline will get to park in the club area! Latest and news status @ http://www.subarubrat.com/carslile.htm
  13. I get about 200 miles from my 16 gallon tank at best. 11~12Mpg.
  14. It is absolutly a good time to replace struts and shocks since you are right there with everything off. I would suggest going with Ranchos all around for the best resuts. Front shocks are fairly easy to do. You can also skip replacing the front strut because the Ranchos will be doing all the work. If you want a straight bolt in, the gabriels aren't too bad. If you do that I would go with a softer rear shock than the rancho or else you will have a very animated front end and it tends to pivot around the rear axles. Go with a premium gas shock instead.
  15. In case you don't already know, Ed Dahl sells the stripe kits in targa and full for genII. You can reach him at dahled@aol.com I had him make me a targa set in straight black and it is fantastic!
  16. I am camping myself, the rate is $15 for a 10x30 space for the weekend. I have room for two tents on my plot, free for the asking, just ask.
  17. I feel your pain. The Nissan I pulled my Tcase out of died of engine failure at about 80k miles and on the way out it had one hell of an oil and power steering leak. The lubes misted back onto the Tcase and combined with dirt to form this epoxy like coating all over the Tcase. It took days to clean.
  18. Pass on it, a non rusty BRAT is worth it's weight in gold.
  19. Yes, but before you mess with all that, just try a can of no-pass no-pay it does wonders for these things.
  20. And again, only those registered before the deadline will get to park in the club area! Latest and news status @ http://www.subarubrat.com/carslile.htm
  21. I know the local guys fairly well and they all are interested and excited about the BRAT. I haven't broken one yet, but it is agreed that it won't be a problem, in fact it is sort of a running joke.
