I have been to Woodbridge a few times. It tends to take about 45 min.

Just remember that the lugs won't be evenly spaced.

Rossta, Where do you live at in NOVA? I am in Remington between Warrenton and Culpeper.

It's Alive, It's Alive!!!

We need to arrange a snow get together. Both of you are about the same distance from me in opposite directions so when we get the first real snow we all need to meet up by my place. -
I think you have a valid point, it is sort of a combination of the two because the frame is attatched to the body and it goes up as well. However, as much of a problem as people have grasping the concept of lifting a Subaru I like to keep the explaination as simple as possible.

Not yet, problem is I don't have the full paint done. I shot the hood, fenders and cowl on the rack then installed them. I am shooting the doors as soon as I finish the sanding on them, electric blue top and herculiner bottom. What I REALLY need is a freakin 82 and up roll bar like the one in your red BRAT. None to be found here.

Subarus are definatly like lego blocks, just snap together what you need and it all works. -

Yeah Meeky, count me in too. My offer to help you pull the engine still stands, as well as meeting up with you guys at the yard to help pull an EA81. That would be a blast. Also that building next to the office is full of engines and trannys, several Subaru engines in there as well. I am free this Tuesday as well. -
Ok, this is my radiator, reclined mount like a Hummer. After fooling with a few hood scoops and other ideas that didn't get me what I wanted, I now have it just right. You can't see through the grill in the pic but just under the grill is the fan and radiator and behind that is the air intake. Nice cool air for both.

This one gets people every time. Bolted to the unibody of a Subaru are subassemblies; front suspension, crossmember, rear suspension, strut tops, diff carrier etc. By placing blocks between these subassemblies and the body itself the body is lifted.

what size? (block heaters)

After searching every tool and auto shop for three counties I saw some large TORX bits on the shelf. I think it was about $20 for the bit and it fits on a 1/2 breaker bar. Fits just like it was made for it. -
How much would you pay for a head job?

SO, were having a meeting at work one day and our domain lead says: "We need to take as much opperator error out of the procedure as we can, can we automate this rather than it being a handjob?" -
That is one sweet looking BRAT. I Love the wheels and the winch. Is the blue one yours as well?

After Market Coil-overs

I would just take the time to swap the rear suspension. Six bolts and a brake hardline is all there is to it. -
Phatbrat, Carfreak, That is another race, and yet again a good example of his work. The lambo race is out there on mpg somewhere, I watched it off a site I found at work last night.

Any quick tips to pass emissions tests?
subarubrat replied to syphon's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
That no pass no pay stuff does work. It lowers the combustion chamber temps and masks poor combustion. It will not fix your cat as it claims. But either way it meets your needs. -
YAY! My lift is in! - UPDATE - Installed the Tires today!

Step 1: Drop off at machine shop Step 2. pick up from machine shop. You really should take the extra little bit of expense and effort to do the six lug conversion. Hassey preached it to me and I am very glad I listened. It is a much better design in terms of strength, and it opens up virtually every toyota wheel to you. -

US wheels 55 series I see, excellent choice! I love mine. What size are those? -
That one is the creation of an Austrailian by the name of Sam Rigoli. He has a 9 second AWD BRAT and a pile of rally cars and one offs like that one. He is also famous down there for doing things like dropping the Legacy B4 engine into a rusty gen II BRAT (suspension work too) and skunking a lambo in a head to head.
