What's it worth?

I do belive it has been repainted.. according to the dealer, when they got it back from the first owner back in the day, they put a bunch of new stuff on it, and then stuck it in the showroom, where it sat for over 10 years.. (inside, out of the weather ) so yeah, techically its not ORIGINAL, but hey, its still pretty darn close! -

Ok, we got a sunny day, and some time to take pics.. so here are some of the innards  (although, the direct sunlight kinda made some shadows so the pictures are a bit contrasty..) all of them can be viewed (at larger sizes too) in my gallery- http://ratty2austin.smugmug.com/gallery/1739991_F6rQD#313519207_gFHH9  and now that I have finally run some new gas thru the engine (by driving it places, on the freeway and such) it is running a lot better! nice and quiet, smooth... doesnt stall... and gets good mpg! -

Well, I am not posting it for sale.. but as things go, it would be nice to clear some of my other debt thats been floating around me... (so if anyone really wants it, I will consider offers ) thanks guys! pictures of the inside soon... -
Without admitting anything, I am just curious to see how much this mint little 76 DL wagon I picked up could be worth anyone have any opinions? comparisons? runs and drives almost flawlessly, paint and body in near-showroom condition, interior almost the same- everything functions... EA63 engine with the FWD 4spd, new tires, brakes and exhaust... Just curious to "what you would pay" for something like this... oh, and I will get pics of the interior and close ups of the rest of the car.. there is actually a small rust spot... below the battery in the engine bay on another note, I think its getting around 30 to 35+ mpg!!! I have driven it from shoreline to bellevue, to issaquah and back like.. 2 or 3 times now, and I still have not had to fill it back up!

I'm back! (got a new-old Subaru!)
Ratty2Austin replied to Ratty2Austin's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
Well, if you dont know this already, I have been working at Carter Subaru for some time now... and yes, it is Carter's *First* car sold, back when they opened in 76, they have had it on the showroom floor for probably like 10 years now.. but they finally got tired of looking at it... or something? yeah.. they posted it up for sale, and of course, I was there at the right time to make it happen before the other shop kids got ahold of it and yes, it shal remain stock... its too pretty to modify! -
Yeah, I have been subaru-less for almost a year, up until this past weekend, when I managed to aquire my first gen-1 beast! (or more like, collector wagon!!) this thing is MINT! I wil have more pictures to post soon, I have been busy with uploads to my gallery due to being away from the internet for a month- but now I have a subaru worthy of owning a bottle of wax for Moosens, where are you? I may have some questions for you! 1976 DL 1400 FWD 4spd wagon! the ODO says ~19,900 miles and I belive it! the interior is nearly flawless! it has a ding in the tailgate, and some minor rust spots along the bottom edges of some of the typical spots... it has the factory AM radio, (still works!) and all of the gizmos still work and are stock!!! runs and drives great! (although, has trouble getting up to 60+mph) I will be hanging out at XXX in issaquah now and then, so if you are there, look for me at the classic car shows! now if I can just remember how a carburator works... :-p ~!!! WCSS10 Location and Date Set!
Ratty2Austin replied to WCSS's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
Well.. the date of this show is right on top of another trip I had planned... however, in light of my recent Subaru purchase ... I have thought about the timing of this event, and I think there will be a way to have my cake and eat it too! I should be there, assuming things go smoothly with my other travel (aka if I dont get stranded somewhere or run out of money ) this year, I will be showing my subie in the "older-gen" section... (aka gen 1) .... -

Ratty2Austin replied to Ratty2Austin's topic in Off Road
so the problem with night time offroading, is not being able to see ahead of you easily I almost went off the edge here!!! however, my quick reflexes allowed me to stop the car just in time :-p Carl tugged me back on the trail, and we backed back down to the larger area.... it was fairly dry too, the dust made the pics intersting it was a good time, would like to go back sometime in the day time, with some other soobs too tailgate party in Carl's Brat! -

Ratty2Austin replied to Ratty2Austin's topic in Off Road
well, I have to be somewhere around noon, so i will probably only be out there till 1130 or noonish, but depending on how close to the road we are, cell coverage still kinda sorta works out there.... I dont really know the trails either... but I should be near the main "pit" area, or near the powerlines!
