  1. wheres that? indiana? i dont know if a city boy like myself could handle a trip like that dawg...would there be enough idiots and obnoxious people living there to make me feel at home?? party on caleb
  2. this place appears to be turning into iclub sometimes... anytime theres a minor disagreement, the damn thread gets deleted. there was one just a few days ago where someone posted a Q and got some less than intelligent answers, i responded in the kids defense, and it went back and forth once or twice and the thread disappeared... the ultimate watch what you say and who you say it to subaru messageboard
  3. easiest with compressed air and a big 1/2 inch impact gun - man i miss working at a shop. you wont have to compress the springs in the rear, ive done plenty of these on loyale cars and never had to pull a compressor out, theres just not enough tension in the rear...just unbolt the top, remove and replace. enjoy
  4. i have one brand new in the box... its brown but could be painted no problem, make an offer if your interested.
  5. ive been sourcing some units for mustangs that are for sale on ebay for pretty cheap. this is something im definatley going to need to do like soon foir the XT, ill post updates when i get around to doing it.
  6. yeah man, the RX is ready to go. you also have an entire parts car in case some freak thing happens but i doubt youll have anything to worry about for a long time my man...its not a new car but its been running that way. sorry to hear about all the bad sh*t going on with the hatch, see you in 2 weeks...title is coming your way today.
  7. im no carb expert but isnt there an anti-deisel valve on hitatchi carbs? man you need to get into this RX
  8. are all the board members allowed to enter pics or is this just a west coast thing?
  9. we should come up with one have all the pics and cars voted for by board members - and sell them here as a way to make money for the board.
  10. boz if you ever get the chance, comepare the spider to the normal, flat EA82T intake. the difference is huge, especially after porting.
  11. i had the expess auto parts unit on my car it was dirt cheap and it worked great
  12. an EA82T will not reliably handle 22PSI...maybe for a (read: one) 1/4 mile run, but dont expect to drive it home afterwards these motors are not closed deck and already prone to eating headgaskets. the fuel system will not handle 17PSI on a daily basis with out going lean - hence my comment about dystroying pistons. the initial poster said nothing of a fuel system/head gasket upgrade
  13. no idea on the fuel cut defender... but just a thought if you blow 17PSI into an EA82T youll likely be leaving pistons and rods all over the road...14 is cool, im gonna experiment with 15 once this wastegate is corrected on the XT.
  14. had a great time, wish i could have stayed longer...we need to get more out to carlisle though guys, there were only about 5 subarus there last time. un-sticky please thanx mods
  15. ok guys... ill see you at 9 am with ben, skip and steve in tow. drive safe everyone
  16. red lion diner at 70 and 206 sorry i cant make it dude...i have a bunch of running around to do and i have to meet up with alot of the PB guys in the AM before the meet. see yous there?
  17. $900 for 2 cams? straight from thier catalog: 4-cyl engines ---------- $210/cam due to our cams being so short in length, i think we'd only be charged for one. i dont know man, a $50 cam grind doesnt sound too reassuring.
  18. go with paeco... they also have a massive catalog of stuff for our cars
  19. these performance tips were for N/A EA81s i believe i know skip was experimenting with a colder thermostat, im not sure how it effected the engines overall performance. octane is something that turbo guys cant get around. i wouldnt even put 87 anywhere near the XT, i could just imagine the wonderful sounds the engine would make on full boost.
  20. i was responding to jay (gravelRX) but your gratitude of my clarification is appreciated nonetheless
