I am changing an auto tranny in my 2001 forester. I have noticed a difference from the one i installing from a 2004 forester. There is, what appears to be an oil filter on the front of the transmission at the bottom left. Also it appears to be on the front axles, that they are not using pins on the shafts, is this right? Any help would be a great appreciation.

Finally, they are both working..... I did have to replace the fuse(#9), but it was still dim, i changed the relay, no help, come to find out the bulb itself had a short in it, where i would work on the other side fine, until you shook it lightly and it would dim again, i put a new bulb in it and it works great, thanks to all who helped.

Just noticed the right side light is very dim compared to the left. I took the light out of the headlight and put it in the left side and it is very bright. I also notice the left side dims, but the right side stays the dim light at all times. I have a grounding issue or a short. Does anyone have any suggestions, a headlight wiring diagram would be helpful, or any help. Thanks

ok, i have a remote, when i follow the instructions, about turning the switch from off to on 10 times, the horn does not sound. i have tried it several time even a few more time waiting for the horn to work, nothing. i did notice when i manuall locked the doors, with the door lock, when closing the door i heard a mild chirp and the park lights flashed. i just cannot the horn to sound when turning the switch. any suggestions, or what am i doing wrong.
