Well I was a parts and Service manager at a Chrysler dealership for a few years so I understand the pessimism when it comes to vehicles .When you're in that business you only see them when they're broken. To this day I have trouble relaxing with used vehicles because I've seen so many fail . Unfortunately I don't have resources to buy a new one each time so I try to buy cars from manufacturers with good reputations . By the way. I probably won't own this when its 10 years old.

I actually really like it. Drives beautifully. I don't care about the 7 seater part tbh,I'll never use it I bought it because I do like the looks of it.It has very low kms.I owned a 2000 Outback that I loved and was an excellent car and was hoping that this would be relatively reliable car for a couple of years . Was it a mistake ? I guess time will tell

Thx Thats good to hear I just bought this car and it drives great really like it and I know everyone is trying to be helpful and I do appreciate it but I'm ready to trade this after some of the things I'm reading i understand it's not a truck and it wouldn't be treated like one I don't trailer a lot and other than the boat a couple times a year I don't haul heavy loads

I just bought a 2014 Tribeca . When I test drove the car I noticed a "SAT " button on the dash so I assumed it had Sirius XM capabilities. Well I was wrong . Only has am/fm. Radio reception in my area is terrible so this is a problem for me. To be honest I'm shocked that a car was built in 2014 that doesn't have SAT capabilities. I'm coming from an 09 Santa Fe and it did I guess that's why I made the mistake of assuming it did . What is the best way to add it ? A generic kit that you buy ? Is there a Subaru stereo upgrade available ?

Well I tried plugs, wires, air filter and Seafoam in the gas. Still runs terrible. Even at highway speed it works fine when accelerating but if u let off and then try to accelerate it misses, bucks and tries to stall. Seems worse when its damp out Local repair shop tried spraying the coil with water to see if it would make it miss which it didnt Any other thoughts before I take it to a dealer?

Yes I was and no I don't think it has corrected the problem. The real problem I'm having now is reading this stupid dipstick to get the proper level. On any other vehicle I have owned it was easy to tell the level on the dipstick but on this one I can't .I have put 5 litres of ATF plus the Trans-X in it and I still don't seem much if any on the dipstick.I have the same problem with the engine oil dipstaick.

My brothers 2006 Legacy Turbo blew up the other day.The Subaru tech told him a bearing seized in the Turbo and it sucked the oil out of the engine. His words, not mine. The car has 160,000 kms and it cost him $10,000 to fix it.Is ther a problem with these engines or was he just one of the unluckey ones.BTW.He had complained about excessive oil comsumption for a while before this happened and was told that using 4 litres of oil between scheduled oil changes was not excessive for this engine.???
