  11. Hi Jibs This is Jerry, the hardest part about doing this project so far was making the frame that i was able to turn the car upside down on its roof. I had gravity on my side it held the frame in one spot so i could line everything up. The steering is all sammy, come to the show this year and see it. Thanks Jerry

Hey Uberoo This is Jerry, there is no lift on the body just a spring over the axle. The frame from the sammy is inside of the subie unibody frame. The inside of the subie frame is 28 1/2 wide and the sammy frame outside width is 28 inches wide it fits inside of the subie frame. Thanks Jerry

Hey Uberoo This is Jerry, there is no lift. What i did is mount a sammy frame to the hatch body and did a spring over the axle. The sammy frame fits inside of the subie frame and follows it. All i can say come to the show this year and see it. Thanks Jerry
  15. Hey 75 This is Jerry, yes those are sammy axles also has a sammy frame under it. I had to lenghten the frame 13 inches. The manifold is a 2.2 that will have a holley 390 cfm on it old school baby i like it. The roof is from a 82 GL brat yes Tee Tops and the back wall is also welded into it. Thanks Jerry

  20. Hi Frank This is Jerry, there is a seperate fuse on the EA81 cars for the blower motor that is under the steering column. It is a fuse all by itself and it is a round white holder that uses a round glass fuse. Alot of people don't know about this fuse, i found it on my hatch by looking in the repair manual. Thanks Jerry
  21. Hi Connie This is Jerry, there is a guy that has the same car that you have and he had a problem with the charging system. The problem he had was the crank pulley. It was spinning inside of its self where the inside of the pulley was turning engine speed but the out side of the pulley was spinning about half speed. Please look at that you could have the same problem. Thanks Jerry
  22. Hi This is Jerry, yes you do need that part. That part catches the oil splash and lubs the input shaft bearing. If you don't install that part your tranny will be short lived. Thanks Jerry
  23. Hi This is Jerry, forget the 4 speed and install a 5 speed you have to make brackets any ways. I used some 1 1/2 inch angle iron and welded it to the EA71 cross member and drill holes where i needed them to be for the 5 speed mounts. Then cut the shift linkage to fit, 5 speed is installed. Thanks Jerry
  24. Hey Zack This is Jerry, you can do what i done on my hatch. I put a different bolt patteren in the hubs and it is 4 on 4 1/2 and that is toyota car. I have a set of cragars on my hatch and alot of people see it and say where did you find those wheels to fit your car. I smile and say they are a toyota car bolt patteren. Thanks Jerry
  25. Hi This is Jerry, been there done that on an 81 brat. I built a 6 inch lift for it i also installed a EA81 with a 5 speed dual range tranny. The rear i use the 84 brat rear end because it was alot ez er to install with the 6 inch lift. Aslo rear disc brakes is a must have. Thanks Jerry
