Where is that tranny drain plug?

Hi This is Jerry, if you look under the tranny where the stub axles are well in the center of the tranny there is a drain plug. Use a 13/16 six point socket you will have to tap it on the drain plug tight fit. The tranny holds about 1 galon of gear oil. Thanks Jerry -
EA82 axle measurements??

Hey Erik This is Jerry, they are to long i already tryed to do that set up. It kicks the bottom of the wheel way out. I had a plan to cut the axle and weld it back together but i am sure it would be out of balance so like they say on monster grauge that won't work. Thanks Jerry -

Hey GD This is Jerry, no i didn't get it to run. I have a Ea82 intake carb style that i have clean up ready to install with a new weber carb. I know that old school stuff. I haven't taken any of the SPFI stuff off yet so if anybody wants to give it a try let me know real soon before i take a BF hammer to it. Thanks Jerry

Hey Guys This is Jerry, the sammy frame fits inside of the subaru unibody i didn't cut anything off of the subaru. When i am done with this set up if i want to i can go back stock with the subaru running gear. The pedales are all stock the steering i am useing the sammy. The only mod i will have to the body is a hole for the transfer box shifter and brackets welded to the unibody frame to hold the body to the frame. The rear drive line will be stock sammy ans the front i will have to lengthen and the center drive line i will have to lengthen. Hey sarge jump on the gray dog and join us at the show. Thanks Jerry

Hey Sarge This is Jerry, the clostest i have found to match up with the subaru is a sammy frame. It fits inside of the subaru unibody and just add 13 inches to the middle of the frame and it fits. The jeep frame is close on wheel base but it is to wide. Come to the show and you will see my hatchbrat. I am useing sammy frame with rear end and front end and transfer case and sammy steering. Then i am useing the subaru engine with the 5 speed DR tranny. The after market has a lot of off road sammy stuff. Come to the show and see it. Thanks Jerry

Hey sarge This is Jerry, yes i am doing a suzuki sammy frame on my hatch now. I had to add 13 inches in it and the sammy frame fits inside of the subaru frame. I am hoping to have it all done for the show this year, it's going to wild. Thanks Jerry

Hi Everybody This is Jerry, my coworker has a 80 brat well i am the guy that did all the mods on it. The brat has a 6 inch lift that i built, rear disc, LSD, 5 speed dual range tranny, another set of 14 inch wheels that i built and a EA81 with EA71 pistons with delta cam head shaved to 30 thousand and balance with ported heads. Yes i had to redrill out the intake manifold bolt holes to get it to fit. Also an EA82 intake with the weber carb. and the side pipes. Now that you know what the brat has well there was a mud bog race this past week end, the brat had to race against all 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder class. The brat got 3rd place 3 seconds from first place. There was 47 other rigs the brat had to go against not to bad i think. Everybody was laughing at it until it kick everybody butt except the top 2 rigs. After the race everybody was looking the brat over really close, everybody was saying how in the hell did that thing do that. All i had to say it's a subaru. Thanks Jerry

Hi Mike This is Jerry, well i went to the wrecking yard and got another injector and it dose the same thing thats why i am at my witts end. Thanks Jerry

Hey Rider This is Jerry, when i crank the engine over i can see fuel dribbling out of the injector and thats the only time i see fuel comming out of the injector. I installed the pressure gauge at the injector and the pump holds pressure because when i removed the gauge i got really wet. Thanks Jerry

Hi Shawn This is Jerry, to all the answers from your questions is yes. It's like the injector is plug up. When i crank the engine some gas comes out of it to get the engine started but no gas after that. I have fuel pressure it's not going through the injector. And spark wow it's got spark i have never seen a bolt jump that far. Thanks Jerry

Hi Everybody This is Jerry, well it's got fuel perssure so thats not what keeping from running. I went to the wrecking yard and got another TB and installed it well no go. I am at the point in 1 more month if it's not running that JUNK thats on it sounds like i am mad you betcha. It wiil be toss in the garbage and the old school carb will be back on it. If somebody can please help me before i shoot this damn thing well i not going to shoot it thats my subie. Thanks Jerry

Hey Everybody This is Jerry, just to let you know that RB2 wrecking yard is having there grand opening next saturday and sunday. Everything will be 50% off those days. There is a 87DL wagon a 83 sedan a 85 XT turbo a 82 wagon and a 87 sedan and a bunch of other cars. This wrecking yard is one of the cheap yards and the yard is in Yakima Washington yes i will be there. Thanks Jerry

Hey Dole This is Jerry, yes there is 5 power wires. 4 of them are key power and the other one is fuse power. I have them all hook up, the next step is to hook up a fuel pressure gauge to see what pressure the fuel pump is putting out. Thanks Jerry

Hey GD This is Jerry, when installing the dissy i used a EA81 turbo mounting plate. The mounting hole is in a different place it is wider. Also i had to flip over the air controle valve it hits the dissy. Thanks Jerry

Hey GD This is Jerry, i got a squrit can and shot some gas into the injector after it fired and it kept on running it is a fuel problem. Next step is to rig up a fuel pressure gauge to see what kind of pressure it has. Yes i use the 89 spfi pump and it is mounted at the tank. I am getting closer to getting it to run. I have another set up complete from a 86 spfi i hope the parts are the same. Thanks Jerry

Hi GD This is Jerry, the donor car was a 89 front wheel drive 5 speed. I just done some test and i have spark boy do i have spark ouch that really herts. The engine ran for about 15 seconds at about 500 rpm. I look down the injector as i am cranking the engine there is some gas comming out of the injector not very much and i hear a click at the injector. The click repeats its self every 3 seconds or so. The timing has to be close because it wants to start real ez. Any ideas Thanks Jerry

Hi Northwet This is Jerry, yes i got everything from the donor car and yes the test pulg ins are still in the harrness. Snowman AKA Kelly copied that part of the FSM and i carefully done step by step to install this set up. As of now it's a peice of junk to me i can't drive my hatchbrat. Thanks Jerry
