Hi Everybody This is Jerry, well i said good by to my 86 blue brat today as it is going to Iowa. Shawn Watson bought it and he is going to have it repaired. I hope he has as much fun with it as i did. Like i have said before my wife has an outback and it is class to drive but the brat is a blast to drive. I am still looking and when i find another i will buy it. Wow i really mis driving that brat. Thanks Jerry

Hi everybody This is Jerry, well ok i will keep the 5 speed jig for now. When i made this kit it fits fine in a brat and a hatch back thats why i though it would fit a wagon. If the people out there don't have any know how to use a wrench then don't try to do this project. I have a kit going out tomorrow to Bill in Oregon i will see how it gose. Thanks Jerry
-
Hey Everybody This is Jerry, i have installed 3 of those in 2 of 84 brats and my 86 brat and had NO problem. I have 1 more kit for Bill in Oregon and he has a 84 brat. I hear all these problems with this kit so i don't think i will be making them any more. I am going to cut up the jig that i have set up for this project and throw it in the junk. Then i don't have to hear any more bitching. Just my 2 cents thanks Jerry

Hi Everybody This is Jerry, can somebody that has a 80-82 hatch or wagon test the wiring on the head lights. On my 80 hatch it has 1 square head light on each side BUt i have a 84 wiring harrness in my hatch that is suppose to have duals lights. I need to know when you look at the plug in on the left is a black wire on top is red with black stripe and on the right side of the plug in is a red with white stripe. I need to know whitch is ground and what is low beam and what is high beam. I have to use relays to operate my head lights. Could somebody get back to me on this one please. Thanks Jerry

Hey Everybody This is Jerry, well it started out today by 1 of the guys at Subaru calling me about wanting some wheels. After all said and done i traded a set of jack mans wheels for a 86 red hatch back in really nice shape and the air still works. Then Austin came over the hill to pick up his drive line. Then we went to look at a 87 xt his buddy that was with him wants it for 250.00. Then i stop at the wrecking yard and got a skid plate and a Accell coil for 2 dollars, i also got a K&N air filter complete for 5 dollars. A really good day. Thanks Jerry
-
Hi Mac This is Jerry, on the tach wire is yellow and it is on the right front fender. The coil should be there on that fender. On the coil on the pluse side is 2 black wires and on the neg. side there should be 2 yellows wires. The fuel pump relay is located on the left insude front kick panle and it should be 1 of the bolts that hold the hood latch handle to the kick panle. The relay is blue or black box. Thanks Jerry

Hey Boz This is Jerry, on the 5 speed shifter all i nwwd is the bottom half of the shifter. So the part that you have will work so don't thorw it away. You need that part just to let you know. I have made a kit for the 3 inch lift but not for the 4 inch lift. Thanks Jerry
-
Hey Luvmybrat This is Jerry, i don't do any thing to the tranny. What i do is the shift linkage and the tranny mounts so it will fit in your brat and look stock. If you are interested in a kit, then you need to send me some of youe 4 speed parts and some of your 5 speed parts. Then i rework them and send them back to you. The kit cost 100.00 pluse shipping. Thanks Jerry
-
Hey Boz This is Jerry, all i need to know if it is a 3 inch lift by PK Davis or if it will be stock. Thanks Jerry
-
Hey LUVMYBRAT This is Jerry, i make a 5 speed kit that lets you install a 5 speed dual range tranny in your brat and it looks stock. I don't make the rear drive line i have a shop do that. The 5 speed is the only way to go on your brat it makes it alot more fun to drive. You send me some of your old 4 speed and some of the 5 speed parts then i rework them for this kit. The kit is 100.00 pluse shipping. Thanks Jerry

Hey Boz This is Jerry, i am wateing for some parts to get back to me. As of now i have no extras and i just traded for a hatch today that is going to have a 5 speed installed into it. I had 3 kits ahead but now down to none. I just to wate for parts to show up. Thanks Jerry

Hey GD This is Jerry, thats odd mine is 4 inch all the way around oh i know it's because i built it myself. Talk about a sky hook it's alot farther off the ground than i though it would be. My hatch also sits level not any higher in front or the back. Thanks Jerry

Clutch question and tranny fitment Q
bratsrus1 replied to JWX's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Hi JWX This is Jerry, want a stiffer clutch then install a 88rx clutch it is alot stiffer that stock. The kit that i build will fit your hatch. Now you are talking about center diff lock that is in rx trannys and they are turbo with 3.70 gears and the stub axles are bigger that stock. The tranny will fit but you will have to make custom axles for this project. Thanks Jerry -

Hi Ed This is Jerry, contact a lawyer on this one the jerk should not have been going 40 through a school zone. The only he is going to get the message is to hit him in the pocket book. If you don't he is going to do that stunt over again and next time he might not be lucky and kill somebody. Also don't close your medical part of the claim until a year has gone by. I was hit from behind in May and i still go to the chiropractor every month. Thanks Jerry -
^&*(&! 4 spds... I need a new tranny! 5spd!
bratsrus1 replied to Ratty2Austin's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Hey Austin This is Jerry, if you are right then you will need 51 inches of new tubing installed in your wagon drive line. In yakima there is a place called Drive Line Service and that is the place that did Eds and mine. It cost 130.00 to install new tubing and balance it on Eds drive line he wanted new u joints and his cost 165.00 just to let you know. When you come over you need to bring the 5 speed shifter and the 5 speed tranny mounts all 3 of them. I will get started on the kit tomorrow. Thanks Jerry -

New hatch owner, have a couple questions......
bratsrus1 replied to SC1's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Hey Andrew This is Jerry, yes i have an idea drive your hatch to Selah Washington state. I make a kit that all you do is unbolt your 4 speed and bolt up the 5 speed dual range tranny. The only thing that i don't do is the rear drive line, i have a drive line shop make up a new one. The kit cost 100.00 us and you send some old 4 speed parts with some 5 speed parts then i rework them for the kit. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks Jerry
