  6. Hi Jr This is Jerry, yes i make a 5 speed kit for the EA81 cars. If you have the big flywheel yes you use it with the perssure plate and you use the clutch disc from the EA82 5 speed BUT it has to be from a 85-86 wagon with the round center hub and it has 6 springs to fit. If you want to know more call me 1-509-952-2855. Thanks Jerry

  7. Hi This is Jerry, i live in Selah next town to you give me a call i have that set up. I have an EJ 2.2 with a holley 4 barrel on it 1-509-952-2855. Thanks Jerry
  8. Hi This is Jerry, to get the factory tool cost way to much money i have check into it. What i did was get an old blade screwdriver bend the end of it using a torch to heat up the end of it so i can bend it. The screwdriver was about 6 inches long, took the handle off of it then clamp a vise grips to it. the adjusting bolt to the vise grips i welded a nut to it to fit my slide hammer. Then remove the C cilp from the piston then slide the screwdriver in the rist pin then slam away until the rist pin is out. But i do have the rist pin installer tool. Thanks Jerry
  9. Hi This is Jerry, i have an 85 hatch back with the EJ 1.8 imperza 1993 with a 86 RX turbo 5 speed dual range tranny 3.70 gears. I also have rear disc and a VLSD. Running stock tires 185- 70R-13 for high way driving now i get 38.4 miles per gallon. When it warms up i have a few more things to do and i am sure i will get my 40 mpg. I really like my subie to each is own. Thanks Jerry
  10. Hi Larry This is Jerry, they have a dissy for the EJ engines i have 2 of them. I am runnung a 96 imperza 2.2 with a holley 4 barrel carb. I got them from New Zealand, 2 wires make this engine run. We need to talk call me 1-509-952-2855 Thanks Jerry
  11. Hi This is Jerry, the car is a 86 hatch that i cut the roof off of and put the roof from a gen 2 brat also use the back wall. I had to lengthen the frame 13 inches. It is set up so i can pull the frame and install subie running gear back into it. The engine is not in it but it is set up for the 2.2 with the 5 speed dual range tranny with a short center drive line to the transfore case. I have way to much money into this project but i would like to get 3000.00 i also have another complete front end and it has rear disc brakes. Let me know Thanks Jerry
  12. Hi This is Jerry, if you look at my avatar you will see me standing by my 86 hatchbrat that has a sammy frame and running gear under it. The reason i chose the sammy is that the wheel width is the same as the subie has. I didn't want the wheels sticking way out past the fenders. It is just spring over no lift and yes it's that tall i am 6 feet tall. Oh by the way it's for sale all the fab work is done. Thanks Jerry
  13. Hi This is Jerry, use a sammy frame it sits along side of the subie unibody frame. You will have to strech the sammy frame because it is to short. Thanks Jerry
  14. Hi Lynn This is Jerry, yes were doing ok just starting a new project. It is a mini harley trike. I hope to see you and Ken at the next subie show. Thanks Jerry

  17. Hi This is Jerry, yes the radiatior is closer to the engine but everything clears and i have about 2 inches of clearence. My subie is under 7 inches of snow and it's still snowing i hate that white crap. Thanks Jerry
  18. Hi This is Jerry, i have an EA81 85 hatch back with the 1.8 imperza engine. The radiatior is an early legacy and i use stock ej hoses. I made the bottom supports out of 1 1/2 x 1/4 inch flat about 6 inches long drilled a hole at one end to fit the lower rubber mount. I cut a slot in the lower support and welded the plates to the support. The top support i use the stock ej brackets cut them and welded them to fit the top of the support. The fan is mounted in front so it all fits. Thanks Jerry

  21. Hi Jake This is Jerry, yes that trans will work in your car. The drive line needs to have 48 inches of new tubing installed in it. My address is Jerry Schmierer 755 Hexon Rd. Selah Washington 98942. Thanks Jerry

  22. Hi This is Jerry, thats a good point on the obd2 but the EJ 1.8 wiring harrness is alot simpler and alot less wiring. I have bolth set ups and the 1.8 is alot cleaner not as much wire to deal with. Also i use the 1.8 exhaust Y pipe and cat it fit in my 85 hatch. Want to know more call me 1-509-952-2855 Thanks Jerry
  23. Hi This is Jerry, on the 5 speed swap over the drive line is 48 inches of tubing on the hatch back and all other EA81 it is 51 inches of tubing. Thats just the tubing not counting the ends because alot of people measure then differently. Thanks Jerry
