I am in desperate need of a 1994 Subaru Legacy EJ22 Wiring Harness and ECU in order to do a Volkswagen Vanagon Engine Swap. I have a custom made conversion kit through Kennedy Automotive out of Palmdale California that is made specifically for a 1985 Automatic Volkswagen Vanagon and a 1994 Subaru Legacy EJ22 engine. I have the transmission conversion kit and the engine and everything else that came with the cutom conversion kit except for the wiring harness. Any help in locating the part would be MUCH appreciated. I am willing to pay for shipping handling and labor if anyone can find one in decent condition. I can't find any junkyards within hundreds of miles of my location that have this car in their yards. I need this specific engine wiring harness because the conversion company has a deal with the state of California that allows instant smog certification on these specific engines.

Hey Subaru Nation - I have a 1992 Legacy 2.2 (non-turbo) and I'm trying to diagnose some idling issues. The car runs fine but once its warmed up it begins to surge idle at stops (sometimes stalling). I had a cracked air intake and I replaced it with no resolve and I've cleaned out the throttle body and I'm currently replacing the Idle air control valve with a new one (new gaskets all around). My next option is replacing the mass air flow sensor. My current sensor has 5 pins and all of the replacements I've seen online have 5 slots but only 4 pins?? Does it matter? Will the 4 pin work the same? Also if anyone has any further ideas or sollutions for idling issues - I'm much appreciative. I've also changed out the coolant/thermostat. Thanks for the help!

While pa-rusing around my dealer's online catalog, I decided to go into the 94 section looking to see if they listed thing there that my 91 didn't have listed.. And I found an ABS section. With subcategories of speed sensors, relays and G-sensors. What the what? I know the Legacy had an ABS option in 94, but when looking at the legacy parts in the same catalog, the part prices (no part numbers listed) were different implying different parts... Has ANYONE ever seen an ABS system on a Loyale before? And I went back into the 93 and below catalogs and the ABS line exists with the same parts... now, IDK where they would've put the sensors (Since the Impreza/Legacy spindles have provisions for them..) but...? Ideas?

Hello again. I've had a problem that has slowly been developing with my '94 Legacy. The driver side door is becoming difficult to open with the interior handle, however it opens easily with the outside handle, so I know that the latch isn't gummed up or binding. I'm thinking that there must be a linkage that is worn or stretched, and the interior handle hits its limit stop before fully releasing the latch. (That's just my theory...) Has anyone had this happen before? Is it difficult or are there any guides on how to take the door panel off to check this out? Thanks.
