So the latch on the hood of my obs will not lock. The safety lock still works and that keeps it from flying up while driving but definitively not comfortable driving with it sorta bouncing in the wind. It started by sometimes not locking when closing the hood. I’d just have to give it a couple tries. Then it started popping up if there was a lot of wind while I was driving. I’d quickly pull over and get it closed right. Now it will not lock at all. I’ve tried wd40 and adjusting the little rubber nubs. Neither made any difference. There’s video of what it does when I pull hood release lever. Looks like something isn’t right. Now sure what though. Thanks for any advice! IMG_6532.MOV

I did a search, but most of what came back was about adjusting windows. I've got an EA82 coupe that doesn't like to fully latch the driver's side door. When the door is closed, you can push the trailing edge of the door in towards the body about a 1/4 inch and when you get up to highway speeds, the wind noise is pretty unbearable. I tried adjusting the striker closer to the driver's seat, but nothing seemed to change. I tried adjusting it outwards, away from the seat and still, nothing seemed to change. What am I missing? The 1987 FSM isn't much help either.

Hello again. I've had a problem that has slowly been developing with my '94 Legacy. The driver side door is becoming difficult to open with the interior handle, however it opens easily with the outside handle, so I know that the latch isn't gummed up or binding. I'm thinking that there must be a linkage that is worn or stretched, and the interior handle hits its limit stop before fully releasing the latch. (That's just my theory...) Has anyone had this happen before? Is it difficult or are there any guides on how to take the door panel off to check this out? Thanks.
