I've broken the outer most bolt for an EA82 oil pump. This is the bolt closest to the ear of the mickey mouse seal. Whats the likelihood of an oil leak if I finish the re-seal and t-belts? The other 4 bolts are fine and torqued down. I've tried drilling the bolt out because it broke flush to the engine, but I've caught it out of center and I'm losing hope that I'll be able to drill it clean and tap a new thread. If you guys recommend fixing the hole and re-tapping it what kind of drill bits would you recommend? I was doing this job in hopes of ridding the engine of the lifter tick, but I'm worried I've just made the problem worse. Any and all advice appreciated, thanks.

I've had my 1986 Subaru for a couple of years, always ran fine when I drove it. A couple months ago, it started sputtering and I had to keep the rpms at 4k in second to keep it from dying. I couldn't figure out the problem and I re did the vaccum on it, did an EGR delete (sort of) and nothing. For some reason I started it a couple days ago and it ran totall fine and I put a full tank in it and drove it for an hour an a half around town. Messed with some vaccum lines and it sputters heavily when I accelerate like it did before and it only runs fine at 4k (warmed up of coarse) it will idle with a miss and misfires heavily with lots of backfire when coming down. When I unplug the O2 sensor, nothing happens and I was curious if it being broken might have something to do with it. It does have a computer and a Hitachi carb. Most vaccum lines hold pressure and the vaccum advance doesn't work. Any help is greatly appreciated If you have any questions about the car or anything else, please ask

Hello! Recently the passenger side seatbelt in my '94 Legacy GT got stuck at the bend in the rear when retracting, and would not continue retracting when manually cranked (the crank was tight - wouldn't move). It was in this state for maybe a few days, after which it would try to move forward (moving a few inches), but it wouldn't go back. Eventually (a few more days), a big loop of the cable which should have pulled it back began spilling out into the car. The seatbelt is now loose on the track, so I'm pretty sure that the cable has either become detached, or has broken. Without tearing the entire car apart quite yet, does anyone know what kind of a job I'm in for here? Can the cable be replaced separately, or am I looking for a replacement track assembly? The motor seems fine, I've never had any problems with it up until now. Unfortunately, since the cable is broken/detached, I can't just crank it to the rear and leave it - I have to do something about it or I don't have a working seatbelt. Thanks in advance.
