My Wife wanted another car to keep as Backup, since the Series of Unfortunate Events that we faced with our Beloved Subaru "BumbleBeast" after the 7.3 degree Earthquake. I have another car, but my '69 coupé is at my parents' home, far away... I believe is a Good Idea to have a Backup Car, so if I need to Fix something on my "BumbleBeast" Subaru, there will be another car available to use, also She want to drive her own car sometimes ... ... So, we Found a LADM (Latin American Domestic Market) Specs Subaru Legacy Wagon... (1990) ...we have not seeing it yet, but by Phone we talked to the owner and he said it was owned by the Local Subaru Dealer's CEO, it is a Sporty Wagon in Dark Golden Champagne Colour with Luxury Rims, also they said that it was a Special Request for the Dealer's CEO to be "Sporty" and has some Upgrades, which they didn't explain Yet ... ... Little is Known about that Subie so Far, and we Expect to Meet the Sellers by the next Saturday, I Will Take Photos of that Subie (if they Allow me to do So) and I'll Post 'em Here. But while we meet, I Kindly Ask you for any Advice about that Model, any Idea, anything that might be a Must Check... any advice is Very Welcome! Kind Regards.

USMB! Haven't been around in a while, but I figured if anyone would have the info, it would be you guys. I'm looking for either a FSM or information about the 99-00 GC Impreza SRX (equipped with the EJ204). I need to know what parameters control the variable intake and/or the pinouts for the ECU. All of the FSM I have found for the GC chassis have been the English/USDM versions which make no mention of this engine (since it was EDM/JDM/AUDM only). Brochures, tech articles, whitepages... anything on this odd ball motor? Does NOT include the 04+ EJ204 (with the LARGE one piece manifold). Thanks!

im looking for the FSM section about the 3at. i recently acquired a 76k mile loyale 3AT 4WD, and i want to clean out the governor valve, replace the vacuum modulator (have a new one on hand) and completely flush the fluid and clean the filter screen afterwards. later, plans are to add a very large cooler, and experiment with how long it can hold up to big tires and off road abuse, and potentially reworking the valve body to deal with it. highway cruising speeds with the 3at are about the same rpm as what i ran my 5spd at in 4th gear with 215/75/15 tires, so i feel like it holds the engine in the powerband where it needs to be to run large tires at highway speeds. iirc, they held up the power of some turbo models, and similar variants of the jatco 3AT were put on nissans and mazdas with much more power than a spfi EA82. its possible they have torque converters that might interchange with a higher stall speed too. if it doesnt end up working out, ill be looking into a 4EAT swap, or possibly a full drivetrain swap from a 4.44 ej powered vehicle. the car is being built for a mini 4x4 camper, with sleeping platform, auxilary battery and inverter system, propane mini heater, curtains, accent lights, etc etc. i figured having the FSM section on hand might help, and the PDF of the 89 ea82 FSM doesnt include it. otherwise i might order a chilton or haynes manual. anything on the 3at was on the old usmb and doesnt exist anymore, the governor cleaning procedure isnt even up anymore. anyone have any input on this? avoiding these transmissions like a plague just because some people are scared of the red oil is kinda dumb. they are about as simple as automatics get, honestly. thoughts?
