Howdy folks! First off, I must give honor to where it is due--and that is to you! To everyone who posts and comments here, even those who read this forum, I owe you a tremendous thank you! A very special thanks though of course to the posters and picture takers. Know that your many hours of bleeding knuckles and depression suffered amidst puzzling problems are not in vain. Your suffering has made my life easier, so thank you very very much for the work and time you put into these boards and of course your Subaru! I am a small fry car dealer in beautiful sales-tax-less Oregon. I just like cars in general, not one in particular per-say, nor would I call my self an "enthusiast". I simply like motor vehicles and have always found them fascinating. I suppose you could compare this to a horse lover---they admire the majestic creatures because of their power, presence and of course their usefulness and (sometimes) loyalty. I am not a mechanic but I have all of the tools to be one except for a hydraulic lift and of course that tool I always need when I don't have it. I am a "do-it-yourselfer" at heart. I enjoy the thrill of figuring something out (with help of course) and then fixing it myself. Anyway, I look forward to seeing you all on the boards . . . this time with an account to be able to praise you and stump you with my car's woes.

Glad to be here, I have 1991 Loyale its called Leone in these sides of the globe. Quick One, with the unavailability of spare parts over here can I be assured that the wagon will still be running for years to come? assuming I am willing to do any kind of mod/transplants? I just want to make the 4WDimmortal

Hi all, I am a new member, older mechanic but new to Subarus. Wife has a 2013 Crosstrek and I just bought two Foresters--a 1989 with 168K miles I plan to use as a daily driver, and a 2001 Forester the same color (white) as a parts car, although it runs but has a leaky head gasket. I plan to replace timing parts and water pump, valve cover gasket kit, front seal, thermostat, and fix the faulty VSS over the next week or so, and swap the back hatch, hood, and one cracked tail light as well, and also replace left front CV shaft (torn boot) and may fabricate a dual exhaust system. Being new to these engines, I have been watching youtube videos and will have many questions I'm sure. As an old wrench, I hope I can help others find and fix their problems too.

Hello... Just purchased my 'new' 2010 Subaru Outback 2.5i Limited....pretty happy to finally be a Subaru owner. We were looking for a car to replace a great 2005 Altima and it was down to two cars....a 2008 Audi A6 and the Outback..... although the A6 was a nice car, in the end, the Subaru was the smarter/better choice...I am loving this car.... Ironically, I think it was my interest in Subarus that spurred my inlaws into buying their first Subaru a few years ago....since then, they've owned 2 Foresters and an Outback....I have finally caught up. Anyhow, nice to be 'part of the club'....hoping to learn a lot. I would welcome and appreciate any advice from all you more experienced Subaru owners... Thx

Hello to all, Guess I am supposed to say a little about me here.... Well, happily married father of two, former Army, from Maine originally and came back here because its in my blood. I am a Maine Guide and love to hunt, fish, camp, hike, boat, and all the rounds. I pretty easily put 20,000 miles a year on my daily driver and sometimes more. Have wanted a Baja for quite some time, just managed to find one for cheap in rust free condition. I mean rust free! Going to be asking some questions about lifting slightly with struts. I am new to this forum and to subarus but not to forums in general. I am not an auto mechanic but I am a trained and practicing gun smith and am mechanically inclined. I look forward to reading and interacting here.
