    Howdy Subie fans. I have recently acquired a 2006 Outback. 2.5 no turbo. AWD. The previous owner replaced a dead battery and reversed the polarity with the cables to the wrong connectors. Positive to negative and vise versa. At this point, I have found that the main 120 volt fuse for the main fuse panel was blown, and the TCM (Transmission Control Module) is burnt. I replaced the fuse and the engine would then crank but not start. Then I replaced (with a used part) the TCM. Still no start. I checked to find spark at teh coil but found none. Fuel pump primes with ignition on. All lights on dash come on with ignition on. Unit will crank strong for a while but no start. Side note.... the ECM looks brand new and smeels not burnt at all. Where do I go from here?
