Trying to tighten up my shifter on four speed 85 BRAT. Wear seems to be shifter attaches to rod connected to transmission. I see a roll pin connecting to the rod. number 15 in image has the connection. Any suggestions for tightening this connection?

Only has 75,000 miles. transmission is strong. Shutters for a couple of seconds after shifting into higher gears. Does this cold or hot. No check engine lights. -
