Hello. i have a 2001 subaru forester and was rear ended last friday. it appears that the frame was pushed into what i believe is the fuel canister. it is a box with hoses connected to it in the rear passenger corner of the vehicle. Most of the impact was absorbed by a rear cross member that has a hitch receiver in the middle of it. this cross member is bent and also touching my tailpipe. i drove the car home and it seemed fine, except that it sounds louder which i am thinking is due to vibration caused by the tailpipe touching the cross piece. the rear passenger door also sticks when i open it. i am awaiting the other persons insurance and was wondering if this can be fixed? i am assuming that due to the age of the vehicle that the insurance company may deem it totaled. also if the canister is not leaking is there any reason why i couldn't keep driving it. i live in Duvall Wa, and if anyone has a body shop they can recommend, that would be great. thanks
