TheLoyale
Huh, thats a cool idea. I never thought about using a XT series for something like that. Why not, its still a coupe. I would like to see this done right though. -Tom

I'm just thinking about the tail lights.. if i should integrate them with a brat tailgate.. or just have newer lights on either side. any ideas? Twitch de la Brat
It'll be done right.. I'm just thinking about the tail lights.. if i should integrate them with a brat tailgate.. or just have newer lights on either side. any ideas? I say integrate. That way it'll look like an XT until you drop the tailgate. Twitch

Twitch de la Brat
If you can, do nice and smooth to keep the proper aerodynamics. Then put an EJ in it Can you imagine the fuel economy that thing would get? And I think that would've made an awesome 3rd or 4th gen BRAT. XT body with an EJ engine and a d/r AWD tranny Twitch

The Beast I Drive
Kinda looks like this...................... Jeff Robbie and I thought about this a bit, but decided against it becasue the XT has a lot more structure behind the seat and in the roof than say a 3 door, and because Robbie had a perfectly good 3 door already.... It would be cool to see this finished though, it will prolly look funky, but thats because XT's are funky looking to begin with.... -Bill
TheLoyale
Yea I'd use the XT tail lights, its fit the style better. LMAO! Twitch de la Brat
it looks like a Rampage. But there is a great difference, the XT can have a FUNCTIONAL hood scoop And its not made but Mitsubshi AND it will have 4WD!!! Twitch
zukiru
the XT he has now is only 2wd. I wished I could buy it but I couldn't swing purchase and pick up.
zukiru
If you can, do nice and smooth to keep the proper aerodynamics. the shape of the rear glass is one of the cars most important aero features. it's a half cam back. allowing the notch back design to have less turbulence. Myxalplyx
it looks like a Rampage. Excellent picture! Yeah, it seems it would look just like this Rampage here. Also, I thought there was an XT6 wagon that was built similar to this El Camino like Brat we are talking about. Only thing is that the wagon had a 'back' section on it instead of the back being removed for this project.
zukiru
been looking for the pics you are talking about and not havin any luck.. seem to recall they used part of a chevy blazer to build that.

Twitch The funny thing is, its Dodge, with Mitsu parts (Sometime rebadge models) and the Rampage, just like the erly Omni used a VW clutch/Trans (What crap) Can find a pressure plate or the push rod for an '81 Omni anywhere. -Tom
