mellow65
I know a million thanks can never be enough to the volunteers and originators that keep rallying it the NW going. Back when I was volunteering (in the way way back) I was always happy to receive my little baggy of goodies. If I was to just get a T Shirt for the weekend of help I was more then happy. For me a chance to walk thought the park exposes and get to see the cars close up was enough to get my grins going in over time. Being on the other side of things now I really can't ever say thank you enough to everyone that takes their time out of their life just to come sit in the woods and make sure we get to have fun safely. At Oregon Trail we gladly handed out hand fulls of candy to the workers and told each and everyone of them thank you for coming out and supporting us. Well until one of the old grumpys left with the whole bag. Who was that guy? Because really, with out you, we couldn't do this. So as something extra at Wild West I'm wanting to give something a shot and see if it works. With Wild West being the only place that offers a press stage to us "normals" I have taken my in car camera placed it facing the passenger seat and I want to offer you the in car video of your ride. No it may not be a very long trip and no you will never see the speeds that we see on stage, but I have to say if this was ever offered to me back in my volunteering days I would have jumped at the opportunity. So there, that is what I'm offering to any and all that can take a ride on the press stage. One small little disclaimer, my car is small, I would love to offer it to any and all that wanted to do this, but we have to face facts, maybe not everyone will fit in the car. But I'm always willing to let you see if you can. I am heading out early friday morning to make sure I can get there before the press stage gets going. So come find me and lets go for a ride.
