tforce
Did they make a single row ea81 radiator? If so, will it provide enough cooling for an ej22 swap and does anybody have one? I can't even get my ea81 skinny fan in between my radiator and engine. I really don't want to have to remove the hood latch and put the fans in front of the condenser if I can avoid it. Maybe use an ea82 single row?
gwilson87
Mine is a single row and it has been cooling alright thus far. For fans I mounted two 10" electric ones in the front and ditched the AC condenser. Seems to work pretty good, I just didn't have room to mount the antifreeze overflow tank where it normally goes on the side of the fans.

I'm keeping the AC which is why I'm looking for a single row. My skinny fan should fit fine with a single row.
bheinen74
ej engines run a lot cooler than a ea engine in my observation, with proper cooling, should be good with a new single row and the ej

Now I just need to find a used one....new is not in my budget right now. Am I right in assuming that you are implying that they did make a single row radiator for the ea81? GeneralDisorder
Am I right in assuming that you are implying that they did make a single row radiator for the ea81? I've never seen one. And I've seen a lot of EA81's. GD
tforce
I've never seen one. And I've seen a lot of EA81's. GD Thank you. That's what I was trying to find out. Guess I'll have to find skinnier fans, use an ea82 single row or ditch the hood latch.
GeneralDisorder
Have you tried the EA81 auxilery electric fan used on models equipped with AC? GD
tforce
Have you tried the EA81 auxilery electric fan used on models equipped with AC? GD Ya, I have one but even it won't fit between the engine and radiator. I'm trying to avoid removing the hood latch so I was thinking about retrofitting an ea82 single row radiator to fit.
