sub_speed_559
ok so i went to my local junkyard a couple of days ago and saw an xt down there.....it was the mpfi non-turbo, but i just wanted to get the spider intake off of it to put it on mine (sick of 90 degree pipe to get from the intercooler to the throttle body) but i havn't a clue what all i need to take off of the doner and what i need to mod on mine.....another thing i wanted to know was some of the advantages and the disadvantages in doing this conversion.......mainly i just like the look of it better, it makes for less piping on my setup, and maybe an easier location for a map sensor for a mega squirt setup.....but any input would be greatly appreciated..... Gloyale
Get the Coolant tube that runs under the intake from the waterpump to the heater core. it has an extra tube on it for the throttle body coolant. You will also want the pitch stopper bracket
suberdave
Also dont forget the timing marker that is on the front of the engine, with the spider, its hard to see the mark on the flywheel. if you are going with a maga squirt, i would get the spider intake. if you are intereste, i have a polshed spider with a GM TB on it with the GM 4 wire IAC. and a GM TPS. this will make idle control much easer with a Magasquirt. let me know if you are interested...
